I would love to win tickets to the big state festival. So many great acts performing and I would love to share with my family. My 5 year old daughter is a BIG Dierks Bentley fan and I would like for her to see him again. She met him once when he performed at The Woodlands.
School has started and this is a perfect break from studying and sports.

I would love to win these tickets to take my girl. We were not able to attend Austin City Limits this year or many concerts this summer due to strenuous work schedules and would love to make up for lost time and kick up some dust with this unbelievable bill.

I NEED THESE TICKETS!!!! In April of last year,,it was BillyBob’s Texas 25th anniversary,,,Willie was there to celebrate. My daughter brought my grandson,,who is 12 now to see Willie live for the first time (he has been brought up on Willie!) I got to talk to Willie before the show and told him that Daniel was there to see him,,Willie’s reponse was “Oh good,,we can start brainwashin’ him now” and I told Willie,,”too late,,I already have,,,he loves you!” Needless to say it was way too crowded that nite at BillyBob’s to get Daniel up there to meet Willie or get a bandana or smile…He talks about this ALL the time~~if only,,would’ve,could’ve should’ve~~IT WOULD BE SUCH A TREAT to be able to bring my grandson to the BIG STATE FESTIVAL on Sunday to see Willie again!!!! Thanks!

this is not a joke. i would really like to blow the dust off this scooter and tool around like i own the place. and i might as well see willie nelson in the process. willie rules. he’s the coolest guy on the planet, bar none.

I would love the tickets!!! I would take either my wife, who as a new mother, needs a short break, or my out-of-work, down on his luck buddy who needs a day or two away from pounding the pavement. I’ll even record my thoughts and create a “running diary” of the days events, shows, bbq, and of course, people watching observations. I am also not able to attend the acl fest this year for work, family schedules and this would fill the gap left in my soul. DBT, Reckless, Lambert, Drew K, Ingram AND Willie tunes constitute a large part of the soundtrack to my life. Thanks for the chance!!

I loved to win the tickets so my daughter and I could attend. I can imagine us running from one stage to another to catch all the great shows that will be going throughout the 2 days. We had discussed going, however with gas prices at what they are, tickets, lodging and food the cost would be somewhat prohibitive. With tickets provided this would definately help with the trip.

I am writing not so that I can win these tickets for myself (mostly :-)) but because I would like to take my cousin to a real Texas music festival. Megan has lived in Austin for most her life but hasn’t experienced much of “Texas” or any of its great music. She has become a mall rat that only listens to hip hop and hasn’t ventured much outside Austin city limits. Please help me convert this young lady to become a true fan of country music and help her see a small slice of this great state.

I would love to win these tickets because I have been dying to see Kevin Fowler in concert, but have yet been able to since I work and go to school. I tried to see him at Big Texas out here in Spring, but was unable to get off work. I would take a friend of mine who appreciates country music just as much as I do. the Wreckers, also another one of my favorite bands; ever since they performed on One Tree Hill, will make that weekend the most extraordinary weekend of 2007 for me.

Of course, everybody is going to say they need these tickets! In reality, nobody really NEEDS these tickets they just want them. I wish I could say I have some interesting story or touching story that would win these but I don’t. All I have is the wish to enjoy a couple days of pure country music from some of the BEST artists and be there with my handsome date. It would be great if you were to choose me….thank you, God bless and Gig ‘Em!

I WOULD LOVE TO WIN THESE TICKETS TO TAKE MY HUSBAND HE IS A HUGE FAN AND HAS DREAMED OF SEEING WILLIE NELSON FOR YAERS, ME ON THE OTHER HAND WOULD HAVE TO BE DRAGGED! ALTHOUGH I WOULD DIE FOR THE CHANCE TO SEE LYNYRD SKYNRYD! SO WE COULD ACTUALLY BE PLEASED AT THE SAME TIME, BOY I THOUGHT THAT WAS IMPOSSIBLE! GOOD LUCK TO EVERYBODY! GOD BLESS!

i should win because i love all the bands and i am bad ass :) plus, the more hot girls you guys have there, the more guys will come too!

The tickets would be in good hands with me because I have always loved country music. Texas country, Nashville, and everything in between. Being a poor college student doesn’t really have many perks, so this would be the icing on the cake if it happened. I haven’t been to any other country music festivals this year because I have been waiting for The Big State Festival in October. Everyday I drive down the street jamming out to Miranda Lambert and it would be amazing to see her live. Like Nandita said, having more hot girls out there wouldn’t hurt any.

I would love to win the tickets, I am a huge fan of most of the bands that are going to be there. I would love to be able to take my daughter to see Lynyrd Skynyrd… She absolutely LOVES them, everything she owns is Lynyrd Skynyrd, she is sick alot and I have never been able to take her to see them and that would be the best gift I could give her. And of course I would just love to see EVERYBODY that is going to be performing.

Whats better than free tickets, GREAT music, and ice cold beer. I would have already bought the tickets but the minus sign infront of my checking account balance has yet agian hindered me from partaking in good wholesome Texas fun.

Hello y’all… I’m 45 years old and have NEVER been to a live concert! My parents were strict raising me as a child and I’ve just never been invited to go to one as an adult. What a great concert to label as my first!! I would bring my very best friend who has stuck with me through thick and thin during rough times. Thanks so much for considering me. :)

My daughter deserves to win, she needs a special treat, she was a surrogate mother for her older sister, twice, delivering two boys. She needs to feel special, and have a wonderful time. Your concert is exactly what she needs. We hope at least read this, her world would be made unbelieveable, by winning tickets…Thanks for listening to her mother, I think she is very special and has a heart of gold…I would love to be able to send her on this great trip…..

We would like to win these tickets as our brother and cousin are both in Texas serving our country. We would like to send these tickets to them so the two of them could go together. It has been a very long time since they have seen each other as our cousin has been in for a few years and our brother has just recently graduated from boot-camp. Both having their own families as well. They are also in different branches one Army the other Air Force. They have always been very close and this would be a great way for them to hang out once again and also a way to say thank you for serving our country.
Many Thanks to all of those who serve our country everyday and those who have given up their lives for ours.

If I won these tickets, it would be the most wonderful thing ever. Today (9/27) is my 21st birthday, and sadly I won’t be able to do anything to celebrate, as I have a Trig class that I am taking at night, and I have to wake up extra early for work in the morning. (Sorry for the sap-story) Winning these tickets would not only offer me the chance to see the oh so yummy Trace Adkins and Jack Ingram, but I’d get to see Miranda Lambert and Dierks Bently for a second time! This would be an awesome late birthday gift and a wonderful way to spend a weekend out of town and listening to wonderful music! I hope I am picked!!! :D
I hope I’m lucky enough to be one of the winners of this contest.

because i need a reason to get out of AUSTIN!! and it’s always good to see Tim Mcgraw + I was born + raised in Austin, + tired of the ACL thing…. I what to check out something new..and your BIG STATE gig sounds like the perfect chance to do that. If you don’t think I am the best person to view you show, then I understand.
Does it help to let you know that I love, love, love music. I have seen + met SRV when he was a live, took photos with BB KING + Buddy GUy, love country, Tim Mcgraw + Keith Urban, + George Strait, + love the blues, love rock …. Stevie Nicks, Tommie lee Jones, (chucky’s in love), … yes, even Micheal Jackson (please don’t count that against me) . Not to mention that I use to see willie nelson at the armadio world headquaters when I was only 16 years old, got in for two dollars, the good ol’ days… and as you guys put it, it’s going to be ONE HELL of an event that I DON”T WANT TO MISS… please consider me Tisha Alvarado for FREE tickets to the event. Thanks!

The sob story about why I want the tickets: I am a stay at home mom to 3 children (ages 4.5 yrs, 2yrs and 2.5 months), and the proud wife of a a firefigther. 2 of my best girlfriends (also hardworking stay at home moms!) and I decided that we HAD to get away for the weekend to the concert. It’s not fair that the guys went on a NASCAR trip and went to go see the 49ers play in San Francisco all while we were taking care of the kids and home!
Did I also mention that I turned 30 in August? I’ll consider this a late birthday present from you if you pick me! (OK, I’ll even count it for Christmas too)
The not-so sob story: I LOVE TIM MCGRAW! I wanted to go see him and Faith in Dallas for SoulIISoul this summer but I was a little busy giving birth to my daughter! I did get to see him last year in San Antonio and it was awesome. I’d love to see him again. My other top 5 performers are Dierks Bentley, The Wreckers, Eric Church, and Gary Allen.
And if you do choose me, you’ll be giving my husband the gift of quality 1:1 time with his children! ;)
PICK ME!

I can’t even hope to win based on the meaningfulness of my comment, so let’s hope that this comment wins by the random draw. I love country music and my husband and I could really use a little vacation. I don’t think it can get much simpler than that.

I absolutely require those tickets as I channel the spirits of both Gene Autry AND Marquis De Sade and they’ve both mentioned on several occasions that they wanna go. Plus I dig the shit outa Willie.

Hay yall I think that its great that you are givin out free tickets so I want to tell you why I want these tickets. Ever since I was a little girl I loved to sing well needless to say I could NOT carry a tune in a bucket well I just kept of tryin because my granny told me that if you put your heart towards somthing you can do it, she brought me up on country music so I would sit around listening to music and tryin to sing just like them ever since then country music has been a big part of my life. I live in Fredericksburg, Texas and if you didnt know its about 10 miles from the famous LUCKENBACH, Texas and I was first brought there by my mom and I loved it all the sitting around pickin guitars and just singin along is so awesome. I want to bring my mom because throughout everything I have gone through in my life she has always been understanding and helped me as much as she could, she is my best friend and with both of us having young kids and working neither of us have gotten to go to a country concert ever so I think it would be awesome if I got the tickets. Thanks yall!!

The music line-up is perfect for me to see all my favorite artist, I could go from one stage to the next and not miss a note. And best of all, my far away running buddy, Kathy would be more than happy to fly in for the fun and food…
