Turns out the 1100 Springs guys host their own show on that station on Wednesday nights from 7-10 PM. Its just a shame the audio feed is such low fidelity, but I think they may still be trying to accomodate dial-up internet users. That's a shame because they play an interesting mix of what they term "hard country" music... Friday night's Opry (tonight) will include Caitlin & Will, Rhonda Vincent, and Tracy Byrd as notable guests. The Saturday Night Opry will include DALE WATSON (!) and Emily West. It will be good to hear some Ameripolitan truckin' songs on the Opry for a nice change of pace.... Opry Alert! The fear in the rep's eyes when Jamey gets a little rough in his radio interview is classic. If Toby Keith's daughter signs with Show Dog, we will likely never hear of her again.... The Miss Leslie website had this interesting tidbit listed over to the side under Upcoming Shows: "May 24 2009, 4:00P-5:00 PM CST - Radio Show Love and War in Texas with Brennen Leigh OPENING for Eleven Hundred Springs LIVE ON KHYI - Plano, Texas" I will be tuning in to listen and its just a shame the online feed from the radio station has extremely poor sound quality! I'm glad he likes the Holly Williams CD as her voice does have the attributes Chet describes, and I just wish it contained stronger material overall. Felicity Urquhart is an Aussie country artist who loves to come to Nashville to co-write songs for her albums and its nice Chet likes her latest. Felicity is not a big country star down under but keeps trying her best. Kasey Chambers fans will recognize the name of Kasey's band's lead guitarist Glen Hannah who is now Felicity's fiance after a very long courtship.
