Walt Wilkins & The Mystiqueros - “Trains I Missed”

Brady Vercher | July 6th, 2007 Email Share

Walt Wilkins & The Mystiqueros Texas songwriter extraordinaire Walt Wilkins and a few of his fellow Texas singer/songwriter buddies formed a band in the last year called The Mystiqueros and recently released their first single, “Trains I Missed,” from their upcoming debut album, Diamonds In The Sun.

“Trains I Missed” is exactly the kind of music you hope to hear coming from artists with the freedom to try things outside the Nashville formula. This is the evolutionary path that country music should be following; not the latest pop oriented flavor. The words, written by Wilkins, are of a man content with where he is in life with no regrets about the choices he has made or “the trains he missed.” The ultimate toast to life and all of it’s quirks. You can’t control it, just live it and be happy.

Thumbs Up

Walt Wilkins is the best songwriter in America and I’ll stand on Steve Earle’s coffee table in my cowboy boots and say that!
