You could feel the respect and awe all of his bandmates had in being a part of a band with John. A month back Vince Gill sat in with them and he laughed and said that when he was on the road with John in his band he was John Hughey's lead singer....they proceeded into a western swing version of Go Rest High On That Mountain.....today it seems a fitting send off.
