The Man They Call Lembo, Lembo Allen That Is
While recently searching for a song by Mundo Earwood, I came across a small time artist that had covered the particular track I was looking for. His name is Lembo Allen and he sounds awful good. The song I was searching for is called You’re In Love With The Wrong Man and despite never hearing the original, I don’t see how it could be any better than this rendition by Allen.
Lembo hails from our neck of the woods, over in Luling, TX. His deep, booming voice with a slight twang accompanied by a little western swing is a match made in heaven. It looks like his debut album, Dancing Room Only, was released way back in 2004, so despite just finding him, I think it’s about time Lembo released a new album. We’d be mighty grateful here at The 9513 if he did. You can head over to Lembo’s website to check out the samples of his songs and purchase a CD.
