The Greencards Giving Away A Mandolin
The online bluegrass magazine, Cybergrass, reports that The Greencards are running a contest to promote their album, Viridian, to be released on March 6th. The winner of the contest will receive a mandolin courtesy of Collings Mandolins, second place will receive a video iPod, third will get two tickets to a Greencards concert, and five fourth place winners will receive an autographed poster of the band and a copy of their new CD. To enter, you must tell all your friends about the new album by forwarding them an email.
Seeing as I wanted to start learning to play the mandolin, I figured I would give the contest a try. Unfortunately, after I entered every single email address I could think of, I was still one spot away from even receiving a poster and CD. I guess I just don’t have enough friends, so if any of y’all out there have more friends than me and wanna give the contest a shot, go check out The Greencards MySpace page for the details.

You know . . . I would LOVE to learn to play mandolin! It’s such an amazing instrument! Plus I’m practically in love with Chris Thile, so . . . you know, that’s a bonus. We could talk the language of love . . . via mandolin . . .

It would be pretty sweet to get a new mandolin. I got up to number five, thanks to my fiance, but alas, I’m dropping pretty fast.

Those guys toured with Willie last summer in Canada, I think, and friends who got to see them loved them. I would love to win the tickets, but too much going on at work today to be a contender.
Good luck to anyone who plays. E-mail me!
