Dale Watson went back in time and wrote “Your Cheatin’ Heart.” He gave it to Hank Williams and said, “You can take credit for this one, son. It ain’t country enough for me.”

WoW! That Taylor Swift merchandise is awesome! I know what will be at the top of my Christmas list!….(lol) Taylor Swift might be just a brand at this point, but I expect her to become queen of her own corporate empire eventually.

Jamey Johnson, The Time Jumpers, and Mandy Barnett are my picks for tonight’s Opry. Here’s the schedule:
    http://www.opry.com/TicketsAndInformation/ThisWeek.aspx
Speaking of Mandy, she was the lead in the Nashville production of “Always Patsy Cline” back in the mid 1990’s and plays Patsy in the new Hank Garland movie “Crazy” mentioned above. Go Mandy!

“Jolene” is an amazingly powerful song. I prefer Dolly’s original version, and like Sherrie Austin’s version as well, but will admit Mindy Smith’s version is really cool and I like the music video too.

I’ll have to get my sister one of those dolls for Christmas. I wonder how much money Swift is worth now?

I made a Dale Watson puppet once, but it came to life, kicked my ass and wrote a country song about it.

on second thought – if it comes with a button to press that makes the doll whisper: “talk real slow …psssst”, chances are, that it becomes one of the future top artifacts at the country music hall of fame.

A Taylor Swift action figure? I can’t wait to set up a smack-down with my GI Joe with Kung Fu grip!

Speaking of martial arts, did y’all know Dale Watson taught Chuck Norris everything he knows?

    Thanks for the love…

…and it is really dale watson that can eat a minute steak in 25 seconds.

Dale Watson could make “Bob That Head” sound like a country song.

Dale Watson is so country that his tatoos once played an entire set as subs for the Buckaroos when Buck Owens got mad and fired the orignal members due to them not being “country enough” for him….

Dale Watson doesn’t face his misery and take solace in straight Kentucky Bourbon. Straight Kentucky Bourbon faces its misery and takes solace in Dale Watson.

I just checked an old Bible from Texas and it started off with “In the beginning of country there was Dale Watson…”

Kudos to “Country Weekly” for featuring Kimber Sparks and her song “Strait And Jackson” in the “Listen Up” section of the most recent issue! When Bill Chambers comes back to the US to do his own tour to support his latest album “Frozen Ground”, I hope he brings Kimber along. Here’s the link to the free download of the song:

Its not Dale Watson by any means, but there is no question it is country.
    Thanks, Chris!

Dale Watson’s sideburns will be the accepted form of currency once our economy crashes for good. On the strength of Watson’s sideburns, the US shall see the return to it’s post-WWII economic glory-days…

Dale Watson is so country that he could wear the taylor swift doll clothes, sing “picture to burn” and the song would be considered greater than “he stopped loving her today” by all country journalists…

    ok, i’ll stop, i couldnt help myself….

rick, Taylor hardly sees any of the money. And they don’t make much off of these type of things.
90% of them fail and lose money.
Taylor is relatively makes very little money when you compare it to real big music artists who have sold tons and and have done it for awhile.

These fashion things and so on are side ventures that anyone could do and very rarely does it make any money. And we all know Taylor has no mass appeal, just kiddies.
So her appeal is short lived.

drew, I would say Taylor Swift is worth not much at all. She is worth much more than you though.
Anyone can start a fashion live and do other side ventures but very rarely does it make any money. It may even lose money.
And she has no mass appeal, only pre teens and teens. Those types of artists and ventures only last a year or two so they cash in while they can.
But back to your point, Taylor Swift does not make hardly any money off of these little side ventures.

Oh goodie.. Taylor swift dolls. Gonna’ run right out aand buy 10 of them along with all 20 of her re-released versions of her pop-remixed album.

    NOT!

She needs to spend more time hiring a vocal coach to help her learn to stay on key, and less time worrying about fashion lines and MTV.

Let the voodoo taylor dolls begin! lol I can’t stand that chic. sorry! She is not country and she can’t sing! She is just a fake want-to-be-pop singer using country music as her launching pad to fame. What she is selling, I ain’t buying. She seems like a spoiled brat who’s rich daddy bought her a record deal and moved the whole family from PA to nashville just to support HER career. Noone does that for a pipe dream for their kid, who has no vocal abilities or talent.
