Danny Gokey is rather cleverly marketing his album to the multiple personality demographic. It’s a great way to get one person to buy multiple copies of the same CD.

Blake; Ahhhhhhhhhhhh, love the 6 pack format!

Never heard of the Gokey guy; but was intrigued after your scathing agenda type (WTH with copying some small time blogger’s boring review??) entry here so checked it out at iTunes.

I liked it! Bought it. Guy has a great voice. Definitely falls on the pop side, but its country enough for me.

I think Danny Gokey fits Country music. I listen to only country and the Album I bought, My Best Days is imouniquely country/soul. Danny Gokey has one h’ll of a good voice. I wouldn’t count him out.

I was at a country bar in San Jose where Danny sang and darn if he didn’t rock the joint. The young crowd there was sure enjoying him and wouldn’t let him leave by applauding long after he left the stage. Finally he came back and did “My Best Days” again.

I don’t think any of that crowd thought he was just taking a stab at country.

IDK, Nicholas, seems Danny Gokey is here to stay.

My Best Days is pretty good, IMO.

He gets a great response live; from what I’ve been hearing. Touring with Sugarland is only going to help.

Also surprised that Blakes’s CD was so close to Gokey’s.

Did hear stories of the Gokey CD being sold out.

I actually like Gokey’s better; but I lean toward pop/rock in my country.

That blogger certainly doesn’t seem disposed toward someone like Danny Gokey, but good for Gokey that he apparently has a ton of people who do like him from his AI fanbase and open-minded country music listeners. Best selling new male country artist since 1992? I’m not thinking he’s gonna follow the Phil Stacey route just yet, lmao.

I was surprised that Blake Shelton’s CD was so close to Danny Gokey’s on the sales results this week. Had thought Blake’s popularity would carry him way past a newcomer, but it was really pretty close.

Being the farthest thing from a Jason Aldean fan, I must say that “The Truth” was pretty good.

I also hope Danny Gokey exits country music soon, because he definitely doesn’t belong in the genre.
