Trailer did another fantastic job at PhotoCrap, er I mean farce The Music today! I think I might have titled the Lost Trailers album as “Septic Tank Overflow” though…
I personally think the continued rise in the popularity of bluegrass comes from disaffected former mainstream country music fans who remember the days when that music was still mostly country. Well that and the fact of the thriving bluegrass festival scene which seems to be ever expanding and attracting the curious.
Speaking of Chuck Mead, he will be at LA’s The Mint Club on Pico on Wednesday, May 13th. They also had a listing for a Billy Block’s Western Beat Show in May but that has sadly disappeared.

Rick’s Random TidBits: Strange things are happening at the Grand Ole Opry! The artist listing for this coming Saturday Night’s Oprys list just TWO acts for most of the half hour segments! Historically the Friday and Saturday Night Opry’s featured three acts per half hour segment and sometimes four. The lone exception has been the Tuesday Night Opry’s that usually feature two acts per half hour. First they shortened the Friday and Saturday Night Oprys from 2 and a half hours to two hours and now the number of artists is reduced! What is going on here? Do any of you Nashville based 9513er’s know what’s up? Hmm…
