Ray Stevens’ Squirrel Lives On
Just when I thought there wasn’t enough squirrel news in my life, this article appeared on CNN yesterday about a squirrel grounding a jet. I owned a Ray Stevens cassette tape when I was younger, so it instantly reminded me of the hilarious The Mississippi Squirrel Revival. Occasionally, I even find myself saying It’s Me Again, Margaret at opportune moments and no one has a clue what I’m talking about, so I figured it can’t hurt to spread a little Ray Stevens goodness for my own normalcy’s sake.
In conclusion, here’s a round to squirrels, Ray Stevens, the word “varmint” (God bless Texas), revivals, weird mental connections between random things, and rambling. Just go give The Mississippi Squirrel Revival a listen if you’ve never heard it before. Actually, here’s the video from YouTube:
