Zoe Muth did a recent gig in Los Angeles on her way to SXSW and I was one of maybe three people in attendance at The Cinema Bar who knew who she was. Zoe performed a fine set and is about as mellow and laid back as a human being can be. The new songs she played were all quite good, so I look forward to hearing her new album. In chatting with her I was surprised to find out she wasn’t aware of The 9513!What’s up with that? (lol) Go Zoe!

Sunny Sweeney’s “people” at Republic Nashville seem to be doing a good job of promoting Sunny and her new single. I hope it does at least as well on the Top 40 charts as “From A Table Away” and doesn’t take so dang long to get there! (lol)

Gosh, live music links for both Amanda Shires and those twangin’ canucks Nudie and the Turks! This is indeed a very good music day at The 9513!

PS – Kim Richey is on The Opry tonight! WooHoo! Go Kimmy!

Highly recommend the Robyn Ludwick CD…fortunate to get an early copy and it has been stuck in my car cd player since. She is Bruce and Charlie Robison’s sister and proof that singing/songwriting talent is genetic!

I previewed this whole album on a site before deciding if I was going to buy or not…”Family Man” is probably the strongest song on the record IMO…at least as far as being able to connect with an audience. LeAnn…You definately hit it on the head about the “lyrical and content deficiencies” here. This album also seems as if it is living in a musical time that has already passed in country music…you can hear the major 90′s influences which just don’t seem to go a long way in today’s market. A shame too, because Campbell seems to be a fine singer which is more rare with each single released in country.
After figuring it wouldn’t get many spins in my player, I passed on purchasing.
