Myspace Artist Of The Week: Shannon Dyer
I always find random artists to add on MySpace for our site and this guy caught my attention right off the bat. His name is Shannon Dyer and he sounds like a mix between Craig Morgan and Garth Brooks. I’m Not Here is my favorite song on his MySpace profile, which he co-wrote with Robert Ellis Oral. Shannon’s vocals come through really strong with the acoustic guitar in the background. I really like the other songs on his page, both his slow and fast songs all sound great. He seems to be a pretty stand up guy and determined to pursue his dream, which I think he has the potential to make it as far as he wishes.
Shannon Dyer was born in the small town of Tompkinsville, Kentucky. His mother struggled to raise him by herself, with the help of the rest of the Dyer/Fox family. From the time Dyer was knee-high to a grasshopper, singing on a big stage in front of thousands of people has been his dream. He made his first appearance in kindergarten at a Hee-Haw PTA meeting where he sang “Swingin’” by John Anderson. This debut performance would be followed by many more throughout Dyer’s career.
I must have a thing for those Kentucky boys i.e. John Michael Montgomery. Visit Shannon Dyer’s MySpace.
