MySpace Artist Of The Week: Jeff Tuttle
Jeff Tuttle has a refreshingly older sound to his music, from his vocals to the instruments backing him up. Upon first glance he reminded me of a slightly older Joe Diffie and his sound is similar as well, mostly in that they can both be considered New Traditionalists. The comparisons stop there, Tuttle has a deeper, more gravelly voice to him. I can definitely relate to the title track from his newest album, Living Like A Millionaire (Ain’t Got A Dime), which I’ll be checking out some more in the next few weeks. I’ll let you know what I think about the whole album once I have the time to properly review it. In the mean time, here’s some info from Jeff’s profile:
If you like traditional country music then you’re going to want to get Jeff’s new CD, Living Like A Millionaire (Ain’t Got A Dime). Not only is Jeff a country music recording artist, but a country music fan with a deep respect for traditional country music. Born and raised in Monroe Michigan, Jeff began singing country music in 1989. Jeff now lives in Hendersonville, TN and releases his first 12 song CD Livin’ Like A Millionaire (Ain’t Got A Dime) recorded in Nashville and produced by Grammy Award winning producer Larry Butler (Kenny Rogers, Waylon Jennings, Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson) and Steve Thomas and Grammy Award winning producer Terry Shelton (Billy Ray Cyrus).
Jeff has a segment of one of his performances up on YouTube if anyone wants to watch. The audio quality is horrible, but you can get a sense of how he performs live.
Otherwise, be sure to check out Jeff Tuttle’s MySpace, listen to his music, and let us know what you think.
