MySpace Artist Of The Week: Bobby Duncan
I have to admit that when it comes to browsing around other sites I like to lurk more than I participate. Sometime last week while I was lurking around the Galleywinter forums I saw a link to Bobby Duncan’s MySpace profile, so out of sheer curiosity I clicked and was pleasantly surprised by what I heard. I can’t find a whole lot of information about him and his website seems to be lacking in the “update” department, but from what I can gather he’s always been into country music greats. When he started playing guitar he discovered the Texas/Red Dirt artists and fell in love with the sound, and it definitely shows through in his own music. His debut album, Lonesome Town, was produced by famed Texas songwriter, Walt Wilkins. Duncan has a solid voice, but doesn’t show a lot of vocal range. However, at only 20 years old he has his whole career ahead of him to hone and perfect his sound. I look forward to seeing how he progresses and whether he can make a name for himself.
