Month In Review: April 2007
Traffic continued it’s upward march through the month of April which lets us know that you guys are spreading the word about The 9513, so we thank you for that. We gave away some free music and quite a few t-shirts last month. You never know when we’ll be feeling generous, so check back often to see when/how to score some free stuff. Also, we’re excited about the addition of Jim Malec to help, Brady, Matt, Jenna, and I continue our modest coverage of country music.
Album, Concert, & Book Reviews
We didn’t get out to see very many live shows last month, probably because Brady was busy reading two books, which he reviewed below. Matt wrote a review of Angela Hacker’s post-Nashville Star album which garnered the most comments on an article thus far.
- Album Review: Todd Snider – Peace, Love, And Anarchy
- Album Review: Angela Hacker
- Album Reviews: Martina McBride and “Live at Texas Stadium”
- Album Review: Dale Watson – From The Cradle To The Grave
- Album Review: David Serby – Another Sleepless Night
- Album Review: Bucky Covington’s Self Titled Debut
- Album Review: Miranda Lambert – Crazy Ex-Girlfriend
- Book Review: Lovesick Blues: The Life of Hank Williams
- Book Review: A Biography of the Carter Family: Will You Miss Me When I’m Gone?
- Concert Review: Billy Joe Shaver Greatest Hits Release Show At Waterloo Records: Touched By The Hand Of Billy Joe
- Concert Review: Dale Watson At The Broken Spoke
Recommended
These are basically mini-album reviews, worthy of highlighting because one of us felt like they would interest our readers. Unfortunately, we only had two albums to recommend last month since new album reviews seem to be more popular.
Your Take
Another well received article from Matt that asks your opinion on who should the Opry induct next. Be sure to check this one out and let us know what you think.
