I bet Kenny's version has a caribbean (spelled that wrong) feel to it. He's famous enough, you'd think he'd release more outtakes and such.

Rick's Better Late Than Never Opry Alert!
Tonight's Opry (Friday) will feature Del McCoury, Crystal Gayle, Hal Ketchum, and the Oak Ridge Boys. The Saturday Opry will feature Joey + Rory, Del McCoury, Hal Ketchum, and the re-united Exile (who unlike Obama will be keeping it in the middle of the road...).
Link: http://www.opry.com/TicketsAndInformation/ThisWeek.aspx

Bill Kirchen was lead guitarist for Commander Cody so he's pretty familiar with that song. His live album version lasts about 6 minutes, so I'll have to listen in here and see what he does this go round.

That Tex-Mex Music Extravaganza sounds like my kind of show, but where are The Tejas Brothers? Hmm...

Its nice to see Brennen Leigh being part of that San Antonio Rose show. It sounds like San Antonio has become the "New Country Music Capitol of Texas " as far as I'm concerned! All those liberal hippie types can keep Austin and all that rock and roll based stuff....

Don't forget the Hot Club of Cowtown live in Austin tonight at the Continental Club, and tomorrow night (Saturday) at the Houston branch of the Continental Club. A guaranteed good time drunk or sober, because when the music's that good you don't need to drink to enjoy it.

I agree Brad. I got a chance to go to a book signing and get my copy and chat with Bobby a bit. We have met on a couple of occasions in Nashville and I enjoy talking to him very much.
