Merle Haggard at the Ryman Auditorium: Of the Haggard classics, “Silver Wings,” “The Way I Am” and crowd-favorite “I Think I’ll Just Stay Here and Drink” were performed with confident ease while “Kern River” was sung with inspired tenderness and “Back to Earth,” from 2007’s Last of the Breed, contained more than a trace of Willie’s nasally twang.

That didn’t take long. Be honest, did you have to research the Kenny Chesney one, or did you already know it?

Just a little joke. I doubt Kenny buys the Target store brand.

How did Townes Van Zandt die?
Townes died of an accidental overdose of antihistimine.
After having a broken hip pinned, the discharging doctor would not give Townes any pain medication unless he would go into dry-out treatment, which would have killed him in the condition he was in.
In his desperation to ease the pain, he took 3 of what he thought was Ibuprophen while I was at the store getting the Tylonol PM the nurse had suggested that we get.
When I returned, Townes said, You better give me 3, I took 3 Ibuprophen (pointing to his nightstand drawer) but it still hurts really bad.
We found out later when his toxicolligy test came back that his system was “loaded” with antihistimine.
We looked in the drawer and the Ibuprohen was alergy medicine (antihistamine)and the label was in a foriegn language.
Tylonol PM also has antihistimine in it and the massive dose between the 6 pills caused his heart to go into fribulation. Without a defribulator, he stood no chance. Even though I gave him CPR until the medics got there with the machine 20 minutes later, he was already gone.

Can someone elaborate on the rumors about Faith Hill being mentioned (not by name) in Denise Jackson’s book? I googled this matter but didn’t find much of anything. I realize The 9513 is not a gossip column, but does anyone know the specifics on this speculation?
September 13, 2007 at 5:53 am Permalink
It’s probably not very credible, but this speculation has been mentioned in more places than one.

What’s the name and artist of that song where in the music video there is a sad, homeless, dinosaur trying to fit in with life but can’t? It was a fairly popular music video a few years ago on FUSE.

Faith was not mention in Denise book and the rumor that people like to mention Faith is 100% false. For all you people that want to know Alan had an affair with a female guitar player that was in his band for a short time. I won’t mention her name but she has since retired from the business.
People like to mention Faith cause she was his opening act for a while and country music has a long history of spreading rumors about female opening acts of big huge male country starts. Are when female and men share the same bill. They use to spread rumors about Conway and Loretta too and that was 100% false.
Faith was NOT the one involved with Alan it was his female guitar player and that is the FACTS.
As for Tim and Faith swinging get real, some people are so jealous that Tim and Faith can be so big in the business and have a real, good marriage and be successful with it.
