Last Of The Breed Ticket Contest Winner
Contest Results/Winner
After 23 days of unstable servers due to the whopping amount of traffic our Last Of The Breed Ticket Contest brought in, we’re pleased to announce we finally have a winner. Actually, our servers never became unstable and the contest only had four real competitors, meaning that everyone else who signed up apparently didn’t promote their link. But, we do have a winner.
She only signed up for the contest a few days ago, but must have promoted the heck out of her link to rise to the top in such a short amount of time. We’d like to congratulate Melody for her hard earned tickets to see Willie, Merle, Ray and Asleep at the Wheel.
Thanks to everyone else who participated in the contest.
Stats And Lessons Learned
This contest wasn’t quite as successful as the previous iPod contest, which is probably due to a few different factors; the contest was limited by geographic location and it actually required a little more work than the previous contest.
Twenty-one people entered, but like I mentioned before, it really came down to the top four people competing. Approximately three hundred unique referrals were sent to the site between the twenty-one people entered.
The contest became a lot more popular within the past week, which probably means that we didn’t let it continue on long enough. Giving it to March 1st would have been a wise move on one hand, but on the other we wanted to give anyone out of state who might have won a chance to make travel and lodging arrangements.
All in all, we garnered a few more uniques than we would have otherwise, but I don’t feel like it improved the community that we’re hoping to establish around the site. For those who have been commenting, we’ll announce the t-shirt winners on March 1st.
