I like the video….the music is similar to the sound of Cash although..it’s almost like a commercial in a way. Something about it just doesn’t ring true or sincere. Kind of tongue in cheek.

Drew, I’d like to hear Kasey cover Leslie Gore’s “You Don’t Own Me” and dedicate it to Nashville! (lol)

It’s great to see Lane Turner releasing some new songs that fans can actually purchase! I’m not a big fan of downloading, but in this case Lane is giving me no choice and forcing my hand! Curses! (lol)

I really like the Gatlin Brothers song and using Big River as the instrumental part of the song works out great. Larry Gatlin has a vocal style (ie vibrato) that often puts me off, but when he sings it straight on this song it really works. Since they mention so many departed great country artists, the reference to more “fiddle and steel” just refers to the current state of mainstream country music. I’d make the same suggestion about much of that Red Dirt stuff coming out of Texas these days…

“Red Light Love” huh? Are these little tarts referring to a whorehouse or what? I think Those Darlins should change their name to something like “Those Strumpets”, or “Thosen Brazen Hussies”, or….

Well, I don’t think this song will make the Gatlins’ relevant again, but it’s leagues better than the Oak Ridge Boys covering the White Stripes.
