I’ve always thought Alison’s job at CMT was to stir up controversy – thus stirring up more comments and hits on the site. Surely the powers at CMT (and Alison herself) know that she is pretty much despised by all the CMT blog readers. That makes me think they keep her around for her controversial value.

Alison B. sometimes seems ignorant about music, and when she touches on other subjects, she often seems ignorant about them too. Mostly she comes off as very insincere.

The Walmart/DecaturCD blog is typical: find a controversial topic, copy and paste from another site, make some sorta snarky comments (in a soccer mom kinda way), do little original reporting or research, and watch the commenters go crazy.
