[...] The six records we’ve done have been unmistakably Rascal Flatts, but there’s an itch inside of each one of us that wants to do a hardcore country record that hearkens back to the stuff we grew up on, and that our parents loved, and that we’ve been singing our whole lives. It wouldn’t be out of the ordinary to see a few surprises from us.
Later on, Gary LeVox mentioned he was surprised and blown away by the offensiveness of some interpretations of “Bob That Head.”

Good luck Rascal Flatts, I mean it.

Joey Guerra’s “10 Worst Albums” list is a scream. The only other country related act that made the list besides the Johhny Cash fiasco was Rascal Flatts “Unstoppable” in the number two slot! Good job, Joey! (lol)
The Austin Chronicle’s reviewer’s album lists were fairly interesting. Jim Caligiuri has musical tastes that dovetail perfectly with those expressed by the contributors here at The 9513! Maybe Jim is interested in moonlighting for peanuts…(lol) P.S. Jim gets bonus points for including The Belleville Outfit on his Texas artists list.
Gosh, Ken Tucker’s list includes albums from Jack Ingram, Keith Urban, and Jason Aldean. Just because a freelance journalist writes about country music doesn’t mean they have good taste…

I enjoy both Darius and Miranda; many of her fellow artists seem to mention her when the topic of underrated talents comes up. I recently bought “Revoultion and think it’s a great album; she definatly deserves more of the spotlight. It’s interesting to me how a mediocre singer and songwriter like Swift can smash every record possible while seeming to have the entire musical world in her plam, while a more mature artist, and better songwriter can’t even get noticed by her own genre.
Congrats to Rascal Flatts on ten years. Their accomplishments are definatly worth noting, and it’s nice to seem them being acknoweleged for their hard work. I hope their next album has stronger material, but I will still (shamelessly) be buying it anyway. Get ready to complain; the next album is slated for release in September.

I guess they managed to find the antibotics that clearned that up.

Joey Guerra at the Chronicle listed some of the year’s top albums as his worst. His favorites list includes a very questionable homosexual dance club act. I actually loved the Cash Remixed CD. I agree with Cash’s son, John Carter – his dad would have loved to make this record.

Stormy,
Rascal Flatts is more like the Black Death. We just have to let them run their course and hope we all survive.

Steve–No I meant they found an antibotic for the itch that makes them want to sing country.

I got your allusion, but I think Rascal Flatts rise above a mere itch to a potentially fatal disease.

“I got your allusion, but I think Rascal Flatts rise above a mere itch to a potentially fatal disease.”
And this is true because? It’s laughable that you make such comments; it’s obviously because you won’t (and can’t) say anything respectful.
Wouldn’t Swift, Underwood, Gloriana, Love and Theft, Sugarland, etc, fit under that bill as well? You don’t always need to single out Rascal Flatts as well.
Just out of curiousity, why do you even post here if all you muster is negativity and snide remarks? Wouldn’t it be nice to find SOMETHING to be postive about?

“Congrats to Rascal Flatts on ten years. Their accomplishments are definatly worth noting, and it’s nice to seem them being acknoweleged for their hard work.”
I read “worth nothing” and re-read again and again because the rest of the sentence just didn’t make sense.
Made me laugh really hard – that’s something positive.

I am positive Rascal Flatts is one of the worst bands in country music history. Is that positive enough?

“I read “worth nothing” and re-read again and again because the rest of the sentence just didn’t make sense.”
Why nt? It makes perfect sense.
“I am positive Rascal Flatts is one of the worst bands in country music history. Is that positive enough?”
Although I don’t agree with you, this made me laugh for some reason. Again, what are you basing this opinion on? Who else would you include in category? Oh, that’s right. They’re the most popular country band of the century, so they’re the only ones you can excessivly pick on…right?
Again, you never answered my orginal question about what other artists you would put in this category?

Whoops, I meant decade, sorry.

But at best they only spent a night or two with that traditional country that left them with an itchy sensation.
