Ok... so #1 I just had to say Kristy O. is from Idaho, grew up with her. Was at her concert in Sandpoint last summer and they sang cheater cheater, I personally love their version! They acknowledged Joey and Rory singing it too and were extremely gracious. Opinions are one thing and rumors fly in the music business but give Bomshel a chance. Their newest single Fight Like A Girl is one of the most amazing songs I've ever heard. Good luck Kristy and Kelly and Good Luck Joey and Rory... they both have a lot to offer the industry lets let them have their shot!

I've been listening to the "Life of a Song" CD all day. Great album. They do a great version of Free Bird as a slow waltz. It's a great break from all that heavy metal "country" music.

wow, i haven't checked this board in weeks. HFEEK, I didn't know that Kristy was from Ohio. Her being a friend of the family, I think you would know where she is from. OK, enough with the BOMSHEL thing already, it doesn't matter if it's cap locked or not.

There is alot of new blood in country music which is making for a very exciting time for fans. A new generation in age and type of country music has emerged. Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood are bringing back the teens, including my own daughters. For my own taste I'm digging Joey and Rory, the third place contestants from CMT's Can You Duet? Instead of turning on the local news in the mornings I am tuning into the videos on CMT in hopes of seeing their new video, Cheater, Cheater. I love their simplicity. It's so refreshing after the gone Hollywood styles of some of the standard artists we see on the CMT countdown each week. Using orchestras and rap artists does not a country sound make. Get back to basics and you'll rejuvenate country music and bring back a huge fan base from the Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn generation. I'm in my late 30's and these are for me the standards of country music from whom everyone else is judged. Joey and Rory come from that generation as well and it definitely shows in their performance and their style. The next time a meeting is held to decide the list of songs on the countdown consider getting back to the country in country music, consider Joey and Rory.

I like the song, I like the performance, and most of all- I like the performers. I hope they stay the way they are. They look like ordinary folks, with no articiality, singing for ordinary folks like me.

I am beginning to wonder if this will be a "pure country" crossover hit, because this song is catching on with a lot of non-traditional fans.My friends and I aren't country fans, per se. One of my best friends hates modern country because she feels it is too pop. My hubby is strictly heavy metal and southern rock. I happened upon this song because my two younger sons are huge country fans and turned my friends onto it. I've heard the Bomshel version, but the Joey+Rory version has caught on like fire amongst all of my group. The Bomshel version has too much going on in it. The Joey+Rory version is catchy like a nursery rhyme and they're having fun. We love it.
