Leeann, its nice to know there are at least 2 Hot Club fans among the regular participants here at The 9513!

Lane Turner is one of the featured guests on today’s edition of “GAC Nights” along with Tanya Tucker! I’m so glad Lane was the 2nd place artist on “The Next GAC Star” program as it really got the GAC folks behind him in a big way. It’s too bad “One Night Rodeo” won the darn thing as their Top 40 radio career lasted about as long as their band name suggests…

Fox Searchlight recently picked up a movie titled Crazy Hearts, which stars Jeff Bridges, Robert Duvall and Colin Farrell (one of these does not belong) as country singers and Maggie Gyllenhaal as a reporter.

I’m looking forward to the US release of the new Hot Club of Cowtown CD that’s been available in Europe since early May! (What’s up with that? Hmm…) I wish they would have selected Elana James’ recent composition “Reunion” (based upon her 20th high school reunion) as it its sort of Beatle-esque. The Hot Club stands as the consistently most entertaining live music act I’ve ever witnessed and their shows have an electricity missing on the studio recordings.

Trailer’s “Country Weekly” cover is far more interesting than the real thing. If this were a real issue I might actually be tempted to buy it!

Wow, Colin Farrell as a country singer! Don’t we already have John Rich which makes this redundant? Crikey!
