I know Donna Ulisse (more than an aquaintance, less than a friend) and I also know (as a friend) the co-writer (Dennis Duff) on the lead single “Lovin’ Every Minute”. This is Dennis’ first radio airplay and we’re all so excited for him.

Blake Shelton will be joining Suzaanne Alexander on “GAC Nights” tonight for anyone so inclined to tune in.

I’ve been assiduously trying to avoid everything associated with the Obamanation inaguration, but Sunny Sweeney and Dale Watson had to go and break my streak with those video clips from the “Black Tie & Boots” event. Darn them! (lol)

I’ve mentioned previously I really like the traditional country debut album from Donna Ulisse “Trouble At The Door” and really hope her new bluegrass career brings her the success her talent deserves. Go Donna!

Neal McCoy’s open letter was such a relief!…(lol)

The big question that everyone is wondering: can Neal McCoy’s new band still play the hip-hop version of “The Beverly Hillbillies”?

Rick – it’s my understanding from Dennis that Donna’s record is getting great airplay and had a large number of adds last week. I’m not familiar with all the technical and chart terms, but I know she’s really happy about the reception / recognition it’s gotten so far.

Garth’s performances are from an HBO special aired this past weekend where artists from all over the music world gathered to wlecome in Obama.

I usually stray from political non-sense, but I support Obama 100%.

I would hope that people would all support Obama now that he’s officially our president.

I have a sneaking suspicion that all the people who’ve spent the last eight years saying it’s un-American not to support the president unquestioningly suddenly changed their way of thinking at about noon today.

I will support him when he makes wise decisions and call him on unwise decisions, like undoing all the progress we’ve made in Iraq, or not protecting our country properly as Bush has done. If he wants all the terrorists to be tried in our court system, it will be chaos.

Was a big Obama supporter and donor in the early stages, I think this guy has the ability to change things around and help us prosper again. God bless him and good luck because things are getting pretty bad, Dow dropped 400 points today and doesn’t look to go anything but down from here for awhile.

Nashville4U, why would you invite political discussion like that? Rick and Drew are almost duty bound at this point to denounce Obama.

and it was such a nice day.

Ben, I thought I showed a lot of restraint but I just couldn’t let this day pass without at least one snarky dig at the new liberal messiah. Liberals and Democrats consider this a triumphant day to rejoice, while to me it is “Black Tuesday” (on many levels excluding race) and a day of mourning. Yes, Obama is “The One” who is hell bent on delivering us from any constraints the Constitution may still impose on the federal government and into the waiting arms of the United Nations via treaties (which will get no mainstream media coverage). We conservative “Greeks” see Obama supporters as being giddy over welcoming a leftist “Trojan Horse” into the White House. Okay, I’m going back into “restrained mode” again. (ie no further political comments today, but tomorrow is another day….)

Not only is Kathleen Edwards one of todays finer songwriters, the guy who wrote the article need to get the name of her albums straight. Her debut is entitled “Failer” and not “failure”…

We should all be Obama supporters at this point, since he is our new president of the United States. But man, I’m praying for him for he almost has it as bad as FDR had it with the depression. At my high school, where I teach, we had the inauguration on in every classroom today. One student said, “Man, his hand is shaking up there during the oath”. I said, “Just imagine that huge weight of pressure that just landed on his back, …your hand would be shaking too”.

“We should all be Obama supporters at this point, since he is our new president of the United States”

Yes, just like everyone was a Bush supporter during his presidency.

“But man, I’m praying for him for he almost has it as bad as FDR had it with the depression.”

Actually, he has it almost as bad as Reagan did in 1981.

So true Razor X, so true

The catalyst for the great financial meltdown was the Clinton administration’s insistance that Fannie Mae & Fressie Mac make loans to uncredit-worthy individuals. It took a long time to play out but ultimately it sparked the financial meltdown. Of course this was completely ignored in the 8 years of Bush-bashing we experienced from the “Mainstream Media”

I generally don’t make predictions, but I will predict this: Most measures passed in the next four years will greatly enrich the legal profession without being of much aid to any other segments of society. I really hope that I am wrong in this prediction (I’d like my 401K to rebound so I can retire before Obama is out of office)but, barring a Republican takeover of the House of Representatives in 2010, I doubt that I will be proven wrong.

The only good thing about Obama’s election is it increased by 40% the number of children who can now dream of someday becoming President without it being a total fantasy. That is indeed a good thing. Of course we could have achieved the same thing by electing JC Watts as President, had he chosen to run.

    —————- Back to Country Music

I purchased Donna Ulisse’s first album TROUBLE AT THE DOOR when it first came out and have looked forward to her issuing another album.

To Jim C. – you’re not George Jones. Kathleen Edwards is a passable songwriter, nothing more (but nothing less, either)

I’m going to make one final post on the topic because I think I need to clarify my earlier remark.

North Texas said, “I see, the hell with the USA, it’s all about Razor X. If he fails we all go down the drain with him.”

No, I never said the hell with the USA and I never said it was all about me. All I meant is that I hope Obama fails to implement the agenda he’s proposed because I don’t think it’s in the best interests of the country.

That’s all I’m going to say on the matter.

Yeah, but I’m very much doubting that any country music singers who speak negatively against Obama will be categorically boycotted or have their CDs run over and careers ruined…even if they say something negative about him on foreign soil. Lets be fair now.
