Jimmy Wayne, Taylor Swift, and Lady A are the big newsmakers. Boy, does country music ever suck right now.

Jimmy Wayne: You should think about putting out a good record while you’re walking from Nashville to Phoenix. If you don’t, you should just stay in Arizona!

Jimmy Wayne is an amazing person for doing all that, and I hope the walk is a successful venture =)

Hopefully Music Fog has some Chip & Kendel song videos in the can that have a pace a bit quicker than a funeral dirge! Those two put on a wonderful live show together to be sure. Kendel is 25 years old although she could pass for a high school girl.
Trailer’s parody covers are top notch as usual. Sadly these days its most of the Top 40 mainstream country music itself that’s become the farce…
Thanks for the link to the T. Bone Burnett interview in the LA Times as otherwise I never pay attention to anything in that liberal rag. Good stuff.
Jimmy Wayne is like Rodney Atkins in that when they sing live on the Opry they both have a difficult time staying on pitch. I think they need a better monitor in the ear, or stage monitor system at the Opry so these two can hear just how awful they sound at times. Taylor Swift is sadly beyond help in this regard….

I always wanted to tell the story of Merle Haggard who’s probably the poet laureate of country music and for whatever reason I couldn’t tell it because he had a lot of ex-wives and the rights issues were an issue. So, I recalled the novel and I felt like, “Wow, I can tell Merle’s life story; I can tell Waylon Jennings and Kris Kristopherson’s [sic] all at once and [do] it through this character.” ●
- – Crazy Heart director Scott Cooper.
Oh man, can someone make a mocumentary about a director going around to country singer’s ex-wives trying to get rights to do a movie. That would be awesome!

What a s**t!!! I’ve read too many bad things about TS. I’m pretty sure they are Carrie Underwood’s fans or whatever who are jealous of TS more famous than CU and think CU can sing and is more country and blah blah blah. I dun understand why you guys are so mean to TS who can write her own songs, play musical instruments and can sing more than today teen pop stars if she wanna. Like I always said, having a strong vocal like CU or Susan Boyle or whatever is JUST A BLESS FROM GOD. We have our own talents which God give. There’s nothing to argue about whose vocal is better than who. Plus, TS vocal is not that bad. I daresay her songwriting skill and singing are beyond her age but since she is just out of teenager life, her songs are more about teens and fit more to teens. Also, if she keep trying harder, she will more sound like a mature artist. Time will tell and all of you who said bad things about TS will shut up, I daresay. Don’t waste your time to bash TS cos’ no one cares. Just shut up!!! And there is one thing; TS music is COUNTRY-POP, not country at all even if you like it or not.
