its a song people. its not supposed to be “real” its supposed to be fun. and you know what some women do just walk into a bar and then turn right around and go back outside with a guy. they are called sluts and they do exist. Its a good country song and i think the best of the year ive been listening to country my whole life and obviously u need a life if ur just going to sit here and crique every single word. its not ment to be about a rodeo its about sex plain and simple. if u dont like it dont listen to it. have u ever heard the song elevator (not sure who its by) well its not about an elevator. its called a metaphor. thats what 8 second ride is supposed to be.

I think the song is good you guys are just haters its not the worst country song ever. If you want to hear a horrible artist listen to Keith Urban. At least Jake Owen is an American Country Artist and is not making horrible music fresh off the boat from Australia.

This song is real good, great tempo, and fun. It is not meant to be more than fun. Lighten up. I think the review was ill disputed. It seems as people on this thread are severely angry….. at what, just because you don’t have a career that even rivals Jake Owen. Whoa get over yourselves. Have some fun just becuase your mother didn’t love you enough, or possibly loved you too much does not give you a right to run around spreading negativity!

go ahead make fun of eight second ride and jake owen.but as one of his fans and member of his fan club all of you SUCK.he is so sweet,nice,polite,funny and he loves what he does.if it wasnt for his fans he would not have a job at all.you are just putting down somebody you dont know.I do you know Jake and he is the nicest guy i know.all of you on here are just plain dumb and stupid.dont know good music when it would bite you in the ass

As a fan and friend of Jake Owen i love eight second ride.yes it is on his first cd startin with me and on easy does it.they just change the first part on easy does it.he went from yee haw startin with me ,dont think i cant love you to eight second ride.all of his videos have been simple.this one is prombly his best video he has made since he got into country music.

I’ve seen Jake in concert several times and his voice is genuine, strong and talented. He never missed a note and interacted great with the crowd. Love the slow tender songs along with the rocking ones. I love 8 second ride and I think it can appeal to more than one type of fan. Rock on Jake.

OMG, wtf is wrong with you people. If you people really liked country you would loooove this song. This is on my top songs out of the year, its just plain awesome. Its a fun as hell song and it mentions dip, something real country folk can appreciate. What a horrible review, im sorry but you sound as if the furthest you should venture into country is maybe Taylor Swift.

It is my firm belief that far too many people listen to and critique country music than the number than have any business doing so. While I don’t appreciate the fornication aspect of the song, I love the rest of the lyrics, melody, and music, and I dare you to show up to a rodeo, county fair, tractor pull, honky-tonk, etc, and try to tell people to their face why you think this song is terrible.
