Had the opportunity to see them live last night when the opened for Gavin Degraw. And then immidiatly bought the CD. I love Suzanne's voice and the relationship these two have is fantastic! The mix of instruments they went between was very refreshing to watch and definetly hear! Wouldn't mind seeing them again!

Great piece! I quickly previewed their album after reading this. At first, I heard more Amy Winehouse than country, but I fell quickly in love with "Come on Home." There's definitely a bluegrass undercurrent that builds. Great song. I'll have to give it all a closer listen later.

Good interview, and while it's not exactly the sort of music I expected to discover on the 9513, I'm definitely glad to have discovered this group.

Thanks for the feature on HoneyHoney. I've been a fan of their music for about a year. In the same vain...you should do a feature on Carrie Rodriguez. Are you familiar with her work? Anyway, good job.

Rick--I'm personally not offended by some use of "profanity" in music. Honestly, sometimes it's refreshing if it's used conversationally. That's how people actually speak, and while I do believe music can hold itself to a higher standard than everyday "gutter speech," if an artist is drawing a portrait of a certain character, and that character would use that word in the given situation, then the word should be fair game.

As far as how I found them...aside from the things people send me, I'm constantly listening to new music from every conceivable source. There are a number of reasons why I might choose to write about any particular artist, but the most essential of these is whether or not I think that the artist has a story or music that is of interest to our readers.

Kelly--Thanks, man! There will be more. A lot more.
