Guilty Pleasure: John Schneider
A little known fact that most people don’t know, and I didn’t know until last year, is that John Schneider can sing. He’s a well known TV actor, most famous for his role as Bo Duke on the TV series The Dukes of Hazzard. Another show he became relatively well-known in was Smallville. Both are favorites of mine, although I haven’t watched very much ofSmallville’s past season four. So it came as a surprise when I found out he not only sang country songs back in the day, he was apparently good as he had four numbers ones and five other songs that made the top ten list.
I downloaded his greatest hits albums last year and the dude really does have some talent. Check it out on Rhapsody and let me know what you think.

I’ve been trying to purchase the album with the song “I can talk to you” and have been unsuccessful. Please help! Where may I locate this CD?

Hi Louanne, it took me a while, but I think I found a couple of sites where you can buy the CD. Pure Country Music has a CD titled Hell This Ain’t Heaven and “I Can Talk To You” is on the song list. The Official John Schneider website claims to have an autographed version of the CD for a dollar cheaper.
Hope this helps.

I can remember that I believe that he was the first country cassette that I ever owned…and I believe it was on a Fisher Price cassette player and I was 8 years old, but I know that he had a good voice

I knew John was a country singer at one point… on top of that, he had a killer mustache. I’m still trying to get my hands on a CD. I’ve seen the music video though and he was a darn good, smooth singer. One of the few crossovers into country I would have supported… but I wasn’t born yet!

Hey, guys, I’ve been looking all over for a copy of the album “A memory like you.” Unfortunately, it hasn’t been mastered for CD, and can only be found as a vinyl LP or a cassette. Which I haven’t been able to find, either…
Anyway, I’m just interested in this one song:
“An old rainbow jukebox and you”
Any ideas where I could find this song? I believe it is one of the greatest country ballads of all time.
Thanks!
