Gary Allan Live At Floores Country Store In Helotes, TX
Gary Allan is by far one of my favorite country music artists, so much so that whenever he’s in the Central/South Texas region I try my best to get out and see him. I’ve caught his live concert about six or seven times, but last Friday night at Floores Country Store in Helotes, TX was the best show I’ve seen yet, it was nothing short of amazing. The venue was overflowing with fans. Luckily Allan brought a lot of energy as he ran all over the place making sure everyone got to see him. He sang all the usual tracks, but threw in two new ones as well.
- One of which, “Watching Airplanes,” could possibly become my favorite Gary Allan song ever. It was a song about a guy sitting on the hood of his truck watching airplanes take off and wondering which plane she was on. He sang the song with such conviction that my eyes began to tear up as I stood and listened in awe. Allan said the song would be released to radio on June 4th. I can’t wait!
- The other new song was a driving, upbeat song called “Like It’s a Bad Thing.” It was a song about being a rebel and having people talk about him like it was a bad thing.
Even my boyfriend, who has never been a huge country music fan, was pretty ecstatic after the show. He said he’d even buy tickets to the next Gary Allan concert!

I wasn’t a Gary fan until May 29th. Caught his concert at the House of Blues in Vegas. That concert was unbelieveable. The guy puts on a great show. The songs emotional content and his stage presents draw you in. He’s bound to be a huge success. Definately a must see.

I have now seen Gary 5 times in the past seven months. The last 2 shows I went to House of Blues in Vegas December 11 & 12. Only thing I can say is UNBELIEVABLE. I want him to play there again ASAP. I also could not believe the fans!!!!! I thought I was nuts coming from Phoenix & going to Washington State this summer to see two shows up there. These fans @ HOB came from….Maryland, Alaska, Colorado,Chicago and one gal drove 15 hours from Oaklahoma!!!!! It was so much fun to meet all the fans. Nice ,nice people. Also he is the best!!!! I cannot say enough about him. His sound, his voice….absolutely amazing. His MOM was there for both shows as most of us were. He was real sweet to her. Played 2 really nice Christams songs. Like I said, if he was back there tomorrow I know I would go back & see the same people! ***See him you will be amazed with him!!!!!
DO NOT change your sound Gary. You are great.
You are… “Right Where You Need To Be”!!!!!
