Kellie Pickler's Next Album

All things country!

Postby indulgedcountrymusic on January 7th, 2010, 3:22 pm

Kellie Pickler's third album is underway with new producer Frank Liddell (known for producing Miranda Lambert's albums). I think this is a wise choice, so I can't wait to hear the finished product! Blake Chancey did a good job w/ Small Town Girl, but Chris Lindsey didn't do so hot with her self-titled album, so I'm glad to see that it looks like she's dedicated to making a great new album with this new producer. Additionally, there's a possibilty of a duet between Kellie Pickler and Zac Brown.

Good Lord, only CMT could categorize 2009 as a great year for country music. :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall:

That's not "CMT," that's Hazel Smith, who knows a lot more about country music than Razor X ever will.

Razor's actually one of the most knowledgeable country fans on here. And anybody who thinks that any of the recent years have been great for the genre are just plain retarded.

We're all capable of reading the byline, thank you very much. Ms. Smith's knowledge about country music is not being questioned, just her claim that 2009 was a great year. Is there any point to your post other than to satisfy your insatiable need to engage in an ad hominem attack?

Yeah, she's on there too...if there's anyone who gets on there more often than Hazel, it's Allison.

Right. I've seen Hazel's gushings about the current crop of country hunks get a mention or two at Country California too. For a 40+ year industry veteran, Ms. Smith's tastes certainly haven't been refined with time ...

She was writing drivel like that 20 years ago for the now defunct and sorely missed Country Music magazine. Every issue had a column of hers going on and on about which hat act had the cutest butt -- the type of thing that would have gotten any man fired if he'd written in such a manner about female artists.

Well, at least we know now how the pseudonymous Razor X acquired his expert insight on ad hominem attacks.

Nice try, Jon, but I haven't attacked anyone. Interesting that you chose to go after me when others here have been far more critical of Hazel Smith than I have.

Her next album is going to be amazing :D Working with Miranda's producer, her album will definitely be better than Kellie Pickler

I cannot but agree with this - although that may be a case of hurdling the lowered bar.
