I'm over 10,000 plays already after only one week.

The Last.fm plugin counts all your previous plays from iTunes, so I don't think you actually had 10,000 plays in one week...nonetheless you're still far ahead of me.

I'd be a lot higher on the Last.fm scale if they'd have had that iTunes plug-in when I joined years ago. The website used to count stuff played when logged in to last.fm only. Now it will 'go back' and pull the old plays up to the site, which is fine and dandy if you haven't had two laptops and a few system resets in that time (with another one on the horizon with me on the verge of converting from windows to Mac).

I think you're only allowed to listen to the full song three times. After that, if you want to continue listening to the full song you're required to pay for a subscription.

I synced my iPod about an hour ago and the songs I listened to are still not showing up on Last FM. The scrobbling is turned on. This seems to happen a lot. They usually show up eventually. Does this happen to anyone else?

Did you get a popup box with all the iPod songs listed, with the option to scrobble them or not? Once I click the box to have them all scrobbled, things are usually pretty instantaneous.

The full Deana Carter tracks... all her albums, but I'm Just a Girl have "full track" next to them

Apparently after I listen to them a certain amount of times, it cuts it back to the 29 sec samples

No. Sometimes I get that, other times not. This time I didn't.

Why don't you try something like Pandora? You can create customized radio stations -- not sure if you can stream full albums, but you tell it who you like, and it makes suggestions based on that. And then you get to vote on those suggestions. As you build up a history, it gets to know what you like and what you don't. I don't think there's any limit to how many times you can listen to a song:

Go to the options area of the Last.fm program on your computer, and select "Always confirm iPod scrobbles".

3 free plays. That's what 'free track' or 'full track' means. They are wanting you to buy the tracks.

Thanks. I just selected it. Sometimes there are delays with iPod scrobbles, but I'm still not seeing anything I listened to yesterday. I just resynced; so far it hasn't asked me to confirm so we'll see.

Is anyone else having problems with iPod scrobbling? I'm wondering if it's something to do with iTunes 8.0.

I've always had to manually scrobble, but I haven't noticed any recent difficulties with itunes 8.0...

Try re-installing the itunes plug in thingy.

I just uninstalled and reinstalled the whole program. We'll see if it works this time.
