Johnny Cash Remixed Released January 27th

Off-topic and miscellaneous discussion not pertaining to country music.

I just got finished listening to the new Walk the Line remixed single from Johnny Cash remixed, and I must say I was impressed. The single gives a good preview of what Johnny Cash Remixed will offer as an album. Johnny Cash remixed is a new take on Johnny Cash's music where new styles and technologys play a key role in remixing the album. Many of the songs of the album have club dance beats, dub style in and outs, and featured artists. I can't wait for the release of Johnny cash remixed on January 27th.

Exactly. It sounds like one of the worst ideas I've ever heard for an abomination of an "album".

I won't knock it till I've tried it, but I don't think the concept sounds at all good.

It got 1 half star in a review on Slant.com, so it's most likely terrible.

I've given it a listen and, personally, I think it's garbage.

I have to agree. It's not that good at all...

I don't trust Slant reviews after Jonathan Keefe gave Faith Hill's "Fireflies" 0 stars.
0 stars! Grrr...

I don't think Faith Hill deserved 0/5 stars on her album, but I don't like her personally so....

That was a terrible review. That's my favorite Faith album!

I finally got the chance to listen to the album. GAC has the video for the remixed Folsom Prison Blues. I just started laughing so hard. It is laughable. There is no way in this world would I buy this album and I'm a big fan of Johnny's music. The only ones that I will like this will be the same ones who liked the remix of Honkytonk Badonkadonk. I have to say that it is interesting to see that someone like Snoop Dog was influenced by Johnny and seeing country music cross other boundaries.

I just keep thinking that John Carter Cash is trying to milk the money as much as he can now that Johnny is dead. When is the polka edition of Johnny's songs coming out?
