Stop the spam?

Right now there's about 12 topics all saying the same advertisement spread across the forums about a shipping/packaging job thing and this is by far not the first time I've seen random spam posts like this for advertisements

Can't something be done?

I don't think there's a whole lot that can be done outside of deleting the posts as they come in. There are some programs that block posts that have multiple links in them, but if spammers want to bypass those, I'm sure they have some kinda protocol for getting around that too. Just report them (by clicking the exclamation point next to Quote) and Brady and the guys usually delete them pretty fast.

We did get hit particularly hard over the weekend, so I made a few changes that should hopefully prevent many of the automatic registrations from getting through. It's difficult to impossible to stop all spam, but those changes should help.

Like JR said, though, just report the post and we'll take care of it as soon as possible. Thanks.
