I don't know. I don't see why it would, though.

I think the charts cut off at 500 names, because I know some of my top plays didn't make the charts. With 22 members now, there's probably a pretty sizable number of artists who got one play by one person, so I guess they have to end the charts somewhere.

OK, then ... I need one other person to listen to at least one Connie Smith song this week so she'll be on next week's chart. :D

I'll try to listen to Connie at least once a day ... ;)

And wow, the top 10 sure got shook up on the9513 group charts. Sugarland falls all the to a 7 way tie for #14 - they've been number one since I joined the group. Miranda Lambert is #1 for the first time. Reba has 5 listeners this week (up from 4 in previous weeks), Conway Twitty is holding steading with 4 listeners. Go Conway! Some artists (Cher) still aren't showing up, so there must be some kind of cut-off point.

Miranda's new single is our #1 track, with several of the tracks from Kellie Pickler's new album falling in line behind her to finish out the top 10 tracks. Other notable tracks are Alan Jackson's 'Someday' (great song), Reba's 'How Blue' (oldie but goodie), Patty Loveless's 'Old Soul' (my favorite from Dreamin' My Dreams), and Johnny Cash's recording of 'Why Me Lord' (one of many stellar Kristofferson tunes Johnny did).

It's also telling that the tracks mentioned in the "What'cha Listening To?" thread and Country Universe's "Recommend a Track" discussion are making waves on the track chart - almost every song mentioned in those 2 places have 2 or more listeners this week. So we're definitely pointing new music out to each other - or at least reminding each other of older tracks we had forgotten about.

I am really digging this Last FM group ...

Well I was one of the "Old Soul" listeners I love the song. I've noticed that each week's big country release gets a few tracks in our top ten. This week was Kellie Pickler, and in a previous week I had seen a lot of Eli Young Band.

It looks like I was the only person to answer your call to action, but at least we got her on the chart. ;)

Dolly Parton (#1), Lee Ann Womack (#2), and George Strait (#3) are the top artists on the 9513 group this week.

Appearantly I've listened to Reba 532 times this week. She's now gone from being my 10th most listened to, to being my #1.

Reba has stayed #1 on my list since I downloaded the WMP scrobbler, but I don't play music on here nearly as much you apparently because I've only played her 24 times this week. Sugarland gets my #1 spot for the week with 27 plays, but Queen Reba is still #1 overall. On a side note, Reba is gaining more and more listeners every week on our Last FM group. She started with only 4 listeners when I joined, and is up to 7 listeners this week.

Lee Ann Womack dominates the 9513 group chart this week too. She is the #1 artist, has the #1 album, and is tied for the #1 track with Billy Currington. Meanwhile, Martina McBride, Gary Allan, Sara Evans, and Miranda Lambert round out the top 5 artists' chart. And I can finally see Cher posting a position on the chart at #79 with 3 listeners. Yay!

The top tracks chart is also very interesting this week as tracks from Billy Currington's middling new album pepper the top 10. Lee Ann Womack, Ashton Sheperd, and Sugarland's dazzling 'Genevieve' also find perches among our top 10 tracks. Some other notable tracks among the top 500 include Randy Travis' 'On The Other Hand', Jamey Johnson's 'In Color', and John Anderson's classic 'Straight Tequila Night'.

There is also no shortage of rock and pop songs among the 9513's top tracks ... Such as REO Speedwagon (who have 2 entries) 'Take It On The Run', Vertical Horizon's 'You're A God' (love that song), Cher (with Chicago's Peter Cetera) 'After All', and Dido (who also has more than one entry) with her 'White Flag'. Very eclectic and cool chart this week ...

These charts are really interesting, I'm thinking that Lee Ann Womack will be on top again next week. Also I was wondering why no male artist have topped the artist chart yet? Also J.R. Journey I like the reporting you do, it's cool to read it like that.

Good stuff, JR. I included a link in today's news roundup.

Hopefully we can increase exposure to the group a little and get a few more members.

Thanks you guys. I will try to get one of those up every week after the charts change on Sunday night. I just thought since there are so many artists and songs on the charts over there - and so many of them repeats - it's nice to have an abridged rundown of the most notable and the most-listened music.

And we do need more members in our group ... When you sign up and join, all the music you listen to affects our charts. So let your voice be heard, and help us create these charts every week.

Just curious, what do you guys use for an avatar on LastFM? I have the headshot of Reba from her "My Kind Of Country" album cover.

I use the same avatar as I use here on the forum. I really loved that picture of the lightning striking around the Ryman. I think it really sets a tone for what country music was, is, and should always be. Plus, I think it's less-confusing if people see the same avatar ...

That comment wasn't directed at my constant avatar-jumping was it?

No, not at all. I have always been able to tell who you are by your avatars, even though they do change around some. Your favorite artists are also my favorite artists, so any time I see an artist I really like, I can just assume it's your new avatar. :D

P.S. Glad you brought they Dolly sig back. I really like that one.

Because we have a few people in the group who listen to female artists the overwhelming majority of the time.
