Forgive Me Father, For I Have Sinned...

All things country!

OK, so I listened to the free RF CD I got again, and I discovered that I really like "No Reins" and "How Strong Are You Now". I need rehab.

I think I might be dead to Razor now.
And from what I've heard, the songs are basically recycled from their other albums, so if I'd heard any of them, I'm certain that I'd hate it more.

*Gasps*

I'll forgive you, I like a few of their songs, but that's over their entire career.

I'm trying to think of an appropriate penance for you since you're seeking absolution. :P

A remedial programme of Hank Williams, perhaps? ;)

I'm thinking he needs to sit down and listen to the entire catalogs of Hank and Patsy. Maybe that will help deprogram him. :P

You think that's bad? I actually liked "Bob That Head".

My liking for "How Strong Are You Now" and "No Reins" has cooled significantly. I haven't listened to the album for a while now. (Mostly out of fear for liking more songs :P )

Same here, I haven't hated any song from Rascal Flatts

I have sinned once more...

I bought "Fearless" by Taylor Swift today. It was one of the CDs offered at a one day only price of about $6 (45 NOK).

I am ashamed of myself.

Don't be ashamed, Rainbow. Fearless wasn't that bad of a CD, to be honest.

If these mildly positive comments keep up I might actually have to listen to it someday. :?

I was actually impressed, it shows real potential on about half the tracks.

She shows mature reactions to failed relationships on "Breathe" and "White Horse", draws out real emotion on "You're Not Sorry", makes a groovy track about a simple crush on "Hey Stephen", and shows the real emotions ans situations that actual teenagers go through on "Fifteen", "Fearless" and "You Belong With Me" (as well as "Love Story" to an extent).

She also does a good job on most of those tracks of sticking with understated singing, which works well with her lack of voice.

I would look for the tracks on youtube to listen to the full songs first, the tracks I didn't mention are the worst ones, they're either filler, too poppy, or she attempts to oversing. Of course, the album is just pop, but very very good pop with a few country instruments.
