Tim McGraw Greatest Hits Vol. 3

All things country!

How did this cover ever get approved. Am I the only who think it looks like he had a rough night out on the town, decided to take a leak, got caught mid-pee with a spotlight in the face and has the deer in the headlights look on his face?

And he hasn't had enough hits to warrant three greatest hits projects. Nonetheless, it's here on Oct. 7. Here's the track listing:

1. Back When
2. Last Dollar (Fly Away)
3. If You're Reading This
4. Do You Want Fries With That
5. Unbroken
6. Can't Be Really Gone
7. Angry All The Time
8. Suspicions
9. Find Out Who Your Friends Are
10. Let It Go
11. Real Good Man (Live)
12. Nine Lives

Wow!

The cover looks like it could be used as a cover for one of thoe "Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark" books

I don't really like Tim McGraw, but I always think of him when I think of his wife and I think of McGraw > Hill

Some of those songs are not even legitimate hits. "Suspicions" belongs on a Greatest Hits release?? :?

You nailed it with your description of the album cover. Lofton Creek Records has taken a beating over their artwork on Mark Chesnutt's album, but Curb has had more than their fair share of crummy album covers over the years.

Razor,

Tim's had enough hits for 3 projects but they should've and could've waited another 3-4 years before doing this. It's their way to get stuff on the market. As for the artwork, it's 'bad' but it's still more interesting than the Chesnutt cover. Curb has had their fair share of 'cheapies' over the years but typically it's been these 'cash grab' releases than actual album covers.

I hate it when a label puts out a Greatest Hits album as soon as an artist accumulates enough singles to fill an album. There should be more emphasis on Greatest. It doesn't seem like that long since he released Volume 2.

He only had 1 record between the last hits collection. This is what it seems: A cash grab by Curb.

Exactly. That's a ridiculously brief time between GH packages. Unless it's 60s era Stones and you're putting out multiple albums a year (not to mention non-album singles), it seems quite an odd move.

Don't forget that in the 60's and 70's rock/pop artists had contracts that demanded 2 albums a year, quality or not.

The shadow across his eyes could also be interpreted as: "I'm a bandit, if you buy this album I'm just stealing your money."

I agree that this CD feels very forced to me, and it sounds like Curb is trying to make a few free bucks while shelling out very little cost.

To me, McGraw has gotten worst and worst with every CD release. His first greatest hits CD is one I highly recommend. Its only like six bucks at Wal-Mart now if you can find a copy.

Thank God Curb didn't use the Bleeding Cowboys font. You would have heard the explosion in Austin from all across the country. :)

Or you could get both 1&2 for like 12 bucks most places. If someone likes Tim but never bought any of his stuff, those would be good primers into his career.

Agreed. If you can find both for 12 bucks, then definitly a good pick up. The First Greatest Hits is completely different then the Second Greatest Hits in sound. The First One I think is WORLDS BETTER then the second, but still a good pick up for 12 bucks.

The cashing-in nature of this release makes me wonder whether Tim may be coming up to the end of his Curb contract.
