I don't like her enough to make a top ten of her songs, but I would definitely agree that "Probably Wouldn't Be This Way" should be the #1 on most people's lists... that was just a great song. I'll have to give a listen to some of those songs you mentioned that I've never heard of.

I think most of her stuff is fantastic, with the exeption of Twisted Angel, which was simply a sucky album.

She did a duet with Eddy Arnold of his "Cattle Call". That'd have to be my fav. And I liked "Blue" as well. Other than that, I can take it or leave it.

1. She's Got You - though not as good as the original
2. I Fall to Pieces - ditto
3. Probably Wouldn't Be This Way - the best of her non-covers
4. Your Cheatin' Heart
5. Born To Lose
6. Blue
7. Crazy
8. Cryin' Time
9. Fade To Blue
10. Big Deal

I've been slightly disappointed in LeAnn's progression. She was astonishing when she started out as a 13 year old - but her singing hasn't really improved significantly or not as much as one would have expected since then, and her original material (song selection) has not been as high quality as I would have liked, with the exception of the fabulous Probably Wouldn't Be This Way.

I strongly disagree. "Blue" was a good album, but I consider it her weakest. (Apart from "Twisted Angel", which doesn't exist in my world)
Her voice started out great, but wouldn't have made my top ten back then. Now her voice is too good for words. It is so much more powerful than it used to be, and she is the singer with the biggest range that I can think of right now.

I thought I might get some comeback :)

Maybe her voice has improved; certainly Probably Wouldn't Be That Way really is amazingly good. But most of her material hasn't reached that standard for me, and the quality of the song is massively important for how much I enjoy an artist - I didn't care much for most of the songs on her latest CD, or everything on This Woman.

And just when I was starting to like you..

1. Probably Wouldn't Be This Way
2. One Way Ticket (Because I Can)
3. Some People (her best vocal delivery IMO)
4. Big Deal
5. Nothin' Better to Do (this one really grew on me once I deciphered the lyrics)
6. Nothin' New Under the Moon
7. Blue
8.Till We Ain't Strangers Anymore
9. Nothin' 'bout Love Makes Sense
10. On the Side of Angels (evidently my mind was still blocking out 90% of ballads in 1998)

I just realized that I don't own a single LeAnn Rimes CD. Am I really that cheap?!

Go! Buy! Now!

Pick up "Family" and "This Woman", her two best albums for just $18.98 for both!

Edit:

You MUST also buy "Whatever We Wanna", her European pop album:

Meh. Except for PWBTW nothing's really convinced me just yet. I'm especially afraid to get an album if I disliked even one song on it (for instance, I didn't like "Good Friend and a Glass of Wine", and "What I Cannot Change" didn't really grab me, either).
