Fan Gets Earful From Faith Hill After Getting A Handful From Tim McGraw

  • Today’s most covered story involves Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, and one over zealous fan. People is reporting that a female fan groped Tim McGraw’s nether regions as he walked between a barricade and the stage to greet fans. Faith Hill singled out the fan from stage:

“Somebody needs to teach you some class, my friend,” she tells the fan. “You don’t go grabbin’ somebody else’s, somebody’s husband’s balls, you understand me? That’s very disrespectful.”

TMZ.com has a fan’s cell phone video of Faith Hill’s response.

  • About a week ago Brady and I saw Randy Rogers perform at Nutty Brown Cafe where he mentioned he was getting married. Apparently the marriage happened and Randy Rogers is no longer a single man. Congrats to both of them.
  • GAC has an explanation of the “Six Degrees of Martina McBride” show that actually makes sense, although I don’t see it appealing to a large audience. The two-hour show airs tonight aired last night on ABC. (Update: The article is from yesterday, my bad.)
  • Lack of accessibility is hurting country music in the Hispanic community.
  • The first single, “So Small”, from Carrie Underwood’s upcoming album has been released to radio. Underwood has a co-writing credit for the single and describes it as “a feeling song on how people invest so much of their time and energy into things that aren’t really important.”
  • The Tennessean has a lengthy article about Denise Jackson’s book that came out today.

But in Denise’s first book, It’s All About Him: Finding the Love of My Life, which will be released on Tuesday, she shatters the fairy-tale perception that wealth and fame guarantee happiness. Co-written with Ellen Vaughn, the book reveals Denise’s insecurities, lack of self-worth and details of the couple’s [Denise and Alan Jackson] brief separation a decade ago, as well as the spiritual sojourn that brought back her sense of self and healed their relationship.

  • Lots of movement happening on the Texas Music Chart. After spending six weeks at the top No Justice’s “Never Come Back” has been supplanted by Jack Ingram’s “Measure of a Man”, while Johnny Cooper and Pat Green debut at #23 and #25 with their respective singles, “Let It All Go” and “Way Back Texas”.

Sheesh. Toby Keith has nothing on Faith Hill when it comes to being classless.

I think it’s funny that she’s still swaying while she’s chewing the lady out and the band keeps on playing while Tim McGraw casually strolls across the background. The ideal thing would have been to let security deal with it.

Matt C- I don’t think Faith Hill was classless at all. Since when is violating someone- famous or not- classy behavior? What would have been “classy” of Faith to do? Stand there and cheer it on?

I hardly think Toby Kieth has anything to do with this, either.

This is further proof that Faith either has anger issues or a coke problem…..her outburst at Carrie Underwood at the CMA’s and now this.

Dave, just because the fan’s behavior was classles doesn’t excuse Faith’s actions. Both Tim and Faith work hard to be sex symbols and soak it up when the girls (or guys) in the back row are screaming their heads off and thinking about the exact same thing that someone finally did. It is classless to berate your fans just because one is immature enough to harmlessly — albeit idiotically — manifest those emotions that both Tim and Faith work so hard to create.

I was thinking the same thing about Faith being classless, but I thought I might be overreacting a bit. Glad to see my thoughts weren’t unwarranted. GAC mentioned that Tim was irate at the fan, but he confronted her off stage and let security handle the issue. That’s the way it should have been done.

“Both Tim and Faith work hard to be sex symbols and soak it up when the girls (or guys) in the back row are screaming their heads off and thinking about the exact same thing that someone finally did.”

So he was asking for it?

There is another video from TMZ with Tim demanding his ring back. Apparently when he was shaking hands with fans, one of his rings fell off and a girl had it. There are different accounts of what happened – but the video clearly shows that Tim was asking for the ring back not once, but several times and the girl was shaking her head no. Several have said that security suposively found it on the floor or that the girl gave it to security – but why did she not just give it to him then?

I’ve been to concerts where guys bend down and just love it when the girls grab their legs, etc. I would never stoop so low to do that at a concert no matter who it would be. One woman grabbed Josh Turner’s leg during the Ryman concert and he about tripped. People can be so disrespectful – drunk or not – when they go grabbing people like they are Elvis or something. Makes you look like a looney in the end.

Another comment – I saw the Martina show last night and well, all I could think of was “That’s all they could find?” Seriously, I’ve heard a heck of a lot better talent than what they had on the show. Then they pick the woman that deliberately lied on a grant application for money? And the fact that Martina is “too busy” to be there when they pick the winner. Just a weird show….I honestly can’t remember a thing about the contestants except that winner had lied about getting funds.

In related news, the Cajun Dome where the performance took place is being renamed to… wait for it… the Cajones Dome.

You know, I understand Faith and Tim’s plight, but there is an issue of professionalism at play here.

As far as the Carrie Underwood issue at the awards, Faith was joking around, she wasnt seriouse. Believe what you may, but thats the truth. The bottom line is the fan crossed the line grabbing Tim by that area. Faith simply told her it was wrong, nothing wrong with that.

You know, a lot of folks over at TMZ pointed out that they had to explain to their kids what Faith was yelling about, so it was more than Faith simply telling someone what they did was wrong. Professionalism should probably trump vindication in a scenario like this.

If a fan had felt Faith up, would it have been unprofessional for him to say something about it?

I think when you’re performing in front of thousands of people on a regular basis, you have to come to expect odd behavior from certain fans and keep your emotions in check. This wasn’t about teaching the fan the difference between wrong and right, it was an emotional outburst in the middle of a song that didn’t serve any purpose. And why didn’t Tim say anything, considering it was him that got groped? I’d completely understand if this happened on the street somewhere, but not on stage in this context. They should have just had security take care of it.

Yes, Faith should have been professional, waited until their set was finished, took the woman back stage, and show her how country girls roll…. :)

If I were her ,I’d probably tell my husband it’s about time he “check hisself” and realize that if I have to step up and say something to a woman grabbing his privates because he doesn’t, he’s gonna have a hell of a fight on his hands.

Oh, there you go, she should’ve yelled at Tim instead! ha ha ha!!!

believe me, tim mcgraw has no problem with what happened. if he told the truth, that would be it. BUT…he has to front and act like it’s an AFFRONT TO SOCIETY, though. “HOW DARE SHE GRAB MY BALLS IN A DRUNKEN STUPOR??!!?” that’s what he has to say in public. but privately, i can assure you he finds it funny.

worst case scenario, he spends a couple of nights on the couch without the benefit of some of the sweet stuff.

If some guy’d cupped Faith’s breast and Tim’d raised hell or jumped off the stage and landed a haymaker, we’d be crowning him King Redneck right now. It’s cool for a guy to get upset and defend what’s his, but not a girl? Double standard alert. Also, the media’s trying to portray Faith as a nut, but she’s just had a couple of slightly off center episodes she probably wishes she could take back. Who doesn’t?

I gotta add that it does make Tim look like a wuss when he has to have his wife to tell a woman to not touch him. I can only imagine the conversation they had to have with their kids over what mommie said and why was mommie mad.

In other faithful news…anyone read Denise Jackson’s new book yet? ;-)

Did I just catch a double entendre?

All kidding aside, I haven’t read it, but probably will if my girlfriend picks it up like I think she will :P
