Discovering An Amazing Americana Band, Dry Land Fish
As I was fooling around on the internet tonight, I came across a blog on This Is Texas Music talking about a band I’d never heard of, Dry Land Fish. I went to listen to samples of their music and was blown away, these guys are amazing. I went looking for some more information and had to look no further than a couple of posts down on the same blog to find out they just released their last album. It’s a sad thing because they had a ton of potential. I’m still going to purchase their album when it comes back in stock so I can hear the full songs. I wouldn’t classify all their music as country, but it’s solid southern music, and one of the guys in the band can play a mean harmonica.
Finding bands like Dry Land Fish, and being able to share that music with other listeners is what makes running this site worthwhile.

I’m glad you liked Dry Land Fish. I am Jonathan, the guy who plays the “mean harmonica”. Who would have thought this album would have done what it has done. At one time we had a manager, a distubution deal, and toured heavily. We come home, make an album in our own studio with absolutley no outside help, send it to XM & dang if it ain’t # 8 this week.

We’ve just quit touring for now. We still get together & pick a little. We’ve got notebooks full of songs but we have bills to pay, babies to feed etc….Thanks for the reviews. Any help is greatly appreciated.
