I am so proud of my fellow brother from the 82nd Airborne Division to be inducted into the grand ole opry. God bless him. I love his voice, and his lyrics to his songs strike a chord deep within my spirit and soul. As a vetran, and as a christian, I can deeply connect with his songs.
But more importantly, he connects with America. For you urbanites, and concrete pounders, have your next outing to the countryside. Meet the people, talk with them, step out of your shoes, and try to see their perspective on life. Believe it or not, they are Americans through and through; dyed in the wool so to speak. As Americans, our country has gone to hell in a freakin hand basket... and nobody really cares!!!!
To me Craig Morgan represents what was once good in America, and through his songs - can once again become. When I returned home from the middle-east, I was disgusted of how our nation had become, and was ashamed. Parents have no control over their children, people eat like pigs and waste food like it was nothing. Come on America, talk to your parents, grand-parents, uncles and aunts and find out what as a nation we are doing wrong... starting with the family, an then going up to the government.
A quick shout out to my boys in C co. 2/504 PIR.

I was just wondering what the two people do that pass judgement on a country music singer who makes a living singing and performing for the fans. I dont know but Iam willing to bet more people know his name than theirs so I am going to say that makes him a little better than second teir singer so i guess what i really am trying to say is I think these two should probably stick to judgeing the durnk talent at thier local bars on kareoke night!

If you ever meet him you will change your mind. He is the most humble & down to earth guy you will ever meet. I have been waiting a long time for them to invite him to the opry.

Craig Morgan doesn't appeal to me at all. I think is his voice is ok at best, and his songs tend to pander. I understand why the Orpy picked him. Because he is a " 2nd Tier" singer, like Rick said, the Opry can count on him to do more shows and to be a real member, not a "star" member who only shows up when it is good for him/her. But I still think that he is poor singer and could use better songs. But he is the type that will being singing his one big hit" That's What I Like About Sunday" when he is sixty-five. Shades of George Morgan.

Craig Morgan is a top of the "2nd Tier" country performer. He has an okay voice, but not a great one, and most of his hits are very good songs, just not great ones. I don't see Craig ever becoming a "superstar" in the realm of commercial Top 40 country. I also saw him live at the Hollywood House of Blues and he was very pleasant, but the show was just not very exciting or involving. The Opry gives out so few invitations this one has me a bit baffled...

On the other hand Kellie Pickler just said that its her dream to be invited to join the Opry some day and I would concur with this heartily. When the Opry starts its Thursday Night "Classic Country" shows Kellie would be a great addition to the artist roster when she is available.....

I'm a big fan of Craig Morgan and am glad to see him receive this honor. It always surprises me he isn't a bigger star.
