The sound is good but the value for money in terms of playing time per disc is usually poor, discs running 55-60 minutes. In my hands right now I am looking at two different sets covering George Jones' Starday years. The Time-Life set has 15 songs , the foreign set called THE LEGEND BEGINS has 23 tracks. Fortunately there is only a 4 track overlap so both are worth having I read that the Time-Life set will consist of three CDs with 60 songs. This sou for George Jones sounds great but there have already been a number of good sets on the Possum.
