I don’t think people have seen that. When it gets muscular toward the end, the women in the audience look, and I hate to use this word, but it’s true, empowered. Then I put on an electric guitar and the dudes in the audience relax.”
- The Gobblers Knob’s Kelly Dearmore recapped Sunday’s 4th Annual Red-Dirt Roundup:
100 degree heat + Beer + random country boy without his shirt + no sense of pacing = medical cart followed quickly by police cart. Unlike other events in the past, I am not talking about myself here, for once.

THAT’S their only omission?

One day, if prayers and dreams come true, I’ll sit in a room and get to listen to Guy Clark wax his sage little snippets brilliance. Too bad his Belcourt show was sold out before I knew about it. Great little interview.

This may have already been linked, but here’s a wonderful recap of Vince Gill’s honors from the Recording Academy. I especially loved Steve Martin’s quips.:

He is amazing live–I saw him about two hours before I saw Willie at ACL Fest and he blew Willie out of the water.

Stormy said: “He is amazing live–I saw him about two hours before I saw Willie at ACL Fest and he blew Willie out of the water.” Stormy, don’t you live in Texas? If so, you might want to hire a bodyguard after making that comment. Guy Clark is a Texas music icon, but Willie is like a god. I think that the “Willie’s Place” truck stop and theater has been officially declared a religious shrine by the politicians in Austin! Well, by the pot smoking democrats there anyway…
Trailer’s retouched album covers are top notch snarky country humor as usual! Great job!
Wow, that Texas Red Dirt Festival sounds about as appealing to me as spending a day in hell! It seems like the weather conditions did a nice job of mimicking that particular venue. Crikey, mate.

Noeller, you’ve let the cat out of the bag that you are indeed a crazed Kellie Pickler fanboy based primarily on Kellie’s physical appearance! All this talk of “the new Dolly Parton” was just a cover story! See folks, I’m not the only shallow guy around here! (lol)
