Clay Walker Returns From A Three Year Hiatus
Clay Walker hasn’t recorded anything new since his album, A Few Questions, was released three years ago. He is scheduled to have an album out in January, which was originally planned to be released in March. However, his new single, “‘Fore she was Mama”, is rising so fast the record label moved the release date up two months.
Clay is excited for the new album and single and says, “It’s really exciting to have something out on the radio. It’s been about two and a half years; any time you get a new song or a new album out, it makes you feel good to get back in the game. Leaving RCA and going to Curb took a ‘lil while, legally and I’m just glad to be at a label where there’s a lot of effort being put forth.”
There will be a song on the album called “Before the next teardrop falls”, which Clay recorded with the late Freddy Fender. “He was a champion and a warrior and now he has become my hero,” states Clay.
We are looking forward to his new CD, it sounds like a winner!

We've labored long and hard to come up with our list of the Top 10 Country Albums of 2008. Click here to see who claimed the honor of the year's top album, as chosen by The 9513's staff and writers.
Don’t confuse disappointing with worst, as that list would most likely be dominated by obscure indie knockoff bands along with a couple of mainstream releases. There has to be a modicum of expectation that’s dashed upon the release of an album for it to qualify for the year’s most disappointing.
Join host Kelly Dearmore as he shines the light on several noteworthy album releases you might have missed and interviews various artists, from Sarah Borges to Trent Willmon and Reckless Kelly to Wade Bowen, in the first two episode of The 9513 podcast.
