However, I couldn't believe that the article writer called "Streets of Bakersfield" an "obscure song" before Yoakam cut it. I'm believe it went to number one for Buck (he had a number one with it twice) and would've been a signature song for him even if Dwight had never cut it. I heard Buck's solo version before I heard the duet. For me, it’s a tossup between the two versions.
