Thanks, Jon.

And Rick? You know what? I actually never said in the blog that I personally had a beer gut I needed to get rid of. Just that I was happy to hear a country song that every girl could appreciate. So no need to hit the gym. But should I ever get some extra love around the waist, I'll totally take your advice.

As for you Sam, we clearly have different decorating tastes. I'm into the whole Shabby Chic thing. So I love that frame, and having Womack lyrics on it just takes its value up a few notches.

I just want to add that since Alison was gratified to see a song celebrating women of all shapes and sizes, it may be time for her to hit the gym and hire that personal trainer! This might explain why Alison complains her hubby spends too much time at the golf course! The game is afoot....

Probably all the slagging of Bonaguro is childish, and 8th grade-like. But Alison Bonaguro brings out the worst in many of us.

Good point, Jon. You are the torch-bearer for positive and uplifting comments around here, it isnt in your nature to provide unwarranted and condescending remarks at any given time. Frankly, I am shocked you cant come up with an explanantion for the "slagging"...I'm sure you'll come up with someone to blame soon enough.

I'm trying to come up with an explanation for the persistent slagging of Alison Bonaguro that doesn't make the perps look like - to use the characterization du jour - 8th graders. So far I'm not getting anywhere.

Alison Bonaguro might not actually like "Rocking The Beer Gut." She might not even like country music, for all I know. She comes across as extremely disingenuous to me. Not exactly sure why, but I don't trust anything she says (unless its verified by another source). I suspect she says a lot of the things she does for dramatic effect, whether or not she thinks they are true. Maybe I'm wrong but thats the impression I get.

She also had a post a few days ago that seemed like no more than an advertisement for some cheesy picture frame with the lyrics to "I Hope You Dance" printed on it. It came across as an advertisement disguised as a blog post, which lowers her credibility in my mind. I mean, does she really like these lame frames or did someone pay her a bit to promote them?

She included some story about her family that seemed more over the top than the cheesiest ad about how "good moms" buy tide or Jif or whatever for the kids they love more than anything! (Actually, I think she would be good at marketing products to slightly unsophisticated women, and she could possibly make a very good career doing that. She does have a certain kind of talent). Maybe she does like the frames, but its hard to tell and thats why I don't trust her.

But I give her credit, her blog posts seem to get good responses and they probably generate a lot of clicks. She's successful at what she does; and I admit to reading her blog. I don't think she's credible but she is entertaining and thats probably all CMT really cares about - that people visit the blog for whatever reason.

Thanks for finding a credible way of bringing it up. Needed to be said I think.
