man, I was at that bare Jr show…there was hardly anyone there, so me and the vidoegrpaher probably saw each other!

Glad to hear Randy Kohrs got his instruments back. Maybe next time The Lost Trailers will get back their trailer.

Taylor Swift and her band members as KISS and the dancing Hershey’s kisses is total prank overkill. This would have been better played on the ultimate prankster Brad Paisley. Oh well…

The sad part about Jason Aldean’s statement is that he fails to see how un-country his song is and that one big hit will not keep a career going for years. I wonder if he thinks of himself as an artist. None of his hits have been written by him, they all sound alike, and that dirty, country frat boy look hides a voice that has some qualities but is hidden by bad music, and too much of a desire to be the popular guy.

I dont know about Brody, but I watched, and I’ll say that I really like Steel Magnolia, and see no reason why they cant be successful. I have been impressed with the actual talent on both seasons of this show.

They are younger and less experienced than J+R, but that Ryan and Avalon have some potential to make some noise, but as with The Stella’s, i would see them more in an Americana setting than your typical mainstream setting.

Seriously though, they’re a great act, and though they’ve been less relevant lately, they did have some of the best tunes of the 90’s and a handful of decent songs in the last ten years.

I hope this rejuvenates them as artists…

We rip Jason Aldean “for not writing his hits”,but George Strait is a “Master interpretor”. Now im not comparing these artists, but I think we sometimes put too much stock in artists writing their songs.
Yes i much prefer artists that do,but still want to hear a good song no matter who wrote. This is a big reason LBT needs outside writers. Talented band lacking top material. “Bring it on home” was by far their best single, and hence wasnt written by the group.
A big complaint of Nashville is the writing is to insular. There are so many great songs by “fringe artists or classic “americana” artists but these artist always seem to have to record a steele/wiseman track. Its the biz but all writers have throwaway material and these up and comers tend to get the lesser material with the Rascal Flatts of the world getting the best hits.
