Linda - I'd be excited and gushing, too. You gotta let us know how the concert goes. Make sure the review is good though, Willie's reading ;)

Matt - Good point, I didn't think of that before. I'm sure the reason he didn't go the traditional route was to avoid alienating his current fan base. By adding a few predominantly country instruments and calling his album country, when it's really the same thing he's always been doing, he gains a whole new audience on top of the one he already has.

What a strange comment by Bon Jovi. Recording traditional country songs for a country album is pandering? What is pushing a rock album on a country audience? Exploitation?

Yeah, how cool was that, Brody! I'm still flying high. I've tried to get through to Bill Mack's show to talk to Willie in the past, with no luck. Yesterday was my lucky day! I feel a little embarrassed that Willie has read all my complaining about not having my drawn to win a ticket to the Choteau, MT show, and then that goofy letter to the promotors trying to score a ticket. But hey, when Willie said to e-mail him, I don't feel so bad now! I can't believe it.

I'm so glad I took that week off, even though there was no Texas picnic planned, and I hadn't really planned on going to the George, Washington show. But now, with that sweet invitation, I am bound for Choteau and George, Washington. I don't know how I am going to get there, but I am there.

Wasn't I bold to ask if I could meet him? But hey, it never hurts to ask. I'm excited!

So, I guess the moral of the story is, the next time someone tells you to stop wasting time on your blog, just think of me and all the good things that came out of the hours I sit in front of my computer!

Thanks, Brody, for sharing my excitement, and letting me gush.....
