I am truly shocked that the Holly Williams album “Here With Me” is # 3 on The Boot’s List! Its the only album on the list I own, or ever plan to own, and as much as I like it many of the songs are kinda weak. I’m still glad to see it listed though. On the other hand the inclusion of the Jimmy Wayne album completely blows the credibility of that list! Crikey! (lol)

Trailer’s declaration of dedicated fangirldom would fly right over the heads of those afflicted with this malady…

Is one of the requirements for becoming a Board Member of the AMA being an Obamavoter? Its a shame that so much of the Americana / Alt. Country music scene is defiled by and infected with that pernicious plague known as liberalism…

The Lovell Sisters made a big impression on Vince Gill when he heard them perform on the Opry recently during his segment. Vince proclaimed the two male members of the band were among the luckiest guys on earth. Vince also told Eddie Stubbs that if they were both 20 years old again and single, Vince knew which bluegrass band they’d be members of! (lol)

Ooops, I completely forgot I won a copy of “Mountain Soul II” which is also on The Boot’s Top 10 list. I can’t say that album made much of an impression on me…

The Boot presented a list of their top country albums of 2009. (On a side note, the first couple of commenters deserve a sackpunch.)

    Hah!

Nice to see my buddy Chris Coole get a shout-out, although Mr. Songs:Illinois seems not to know very much about him – like, for instance, that he’s been the guitarist and a lead singer with of one of Canada’s most popular indigenous bluegrass bands, the Foggy Hogtown Boys, for quite a few years; in fact, they just won both Instrumental Group and Best Overall Group honors at the Central Canada Bluegrass Awards a few days ago, and have a pretty lengthy discography.

And by the way, if you tune in to the Music City Roots show tonight at http://www.wsmonline.com , starting at 7 pm CST, you’ll get to hear a fine show that finishes with a short set from Pam Daley ( http://www.pamdaleymusic.com ), backed by a band that includes, um, me.
