I'm a sucker for the harmonies too. Also, many of these questions and answers were in my interview with them last summer, one of my favorite interviews for how fun it was to do.

Rick, thanks for the nice compliment. I agree with you about Roberts comments about what country music is. Someday it would make a great article for Jim to cull all the answers 9513 has gotten for this question into one big article. I think that would be very interesting.

Great interview Ken. I have to say CR's explanation of what country music is has to be one of the best I've seen thus far.

I really like the CSN style harmonies I've heard from these guys, but then again I was a CSN fan back in the 1960's so it comes with the territory. The real question is whether Top 40 AirHead Country radio will ever give these guys a fair break. One Flew South is competing directly with the 20 something teen girl heart throbs Love & Theft, and OFS never opened for Taylor Swift nor did she write a song about one of their members.

One Flew South creates intelligent music for adults who appreciate CSN and vintage Eagles, and sadly that is not the Top 40 mainstream country radio fan base these days. In today's marketplace it will be a miracle if Decca releases a second album from these guys if the first hasn't sold very well. The label may love these guys, but that can only get them so far...
