Maybe they’ll get the Horizon Award right this year. If I don’t hear Jason’s name called out, I hope Miranda literally does have a shotgun backstage. He should’ve been nominated for EOTY, Male Vocalist, Single, Song, and Music Video. “Laughed Until We Cried” was his 5th straight top ten single for goodness sake. And the video speaks for itself.

I agree that Taylor Swift is not a vocalist and shouldl not be considered as a FVOTY nominee. Trisha Yearwood should have gotten a nod. She’s a talent.
If anyone truly deserves to win EOTY it is George Strait–he’s the only one who is true to his musical roots. Also Alan Jackson, but I truly love George Strait.

I think CMT should just go ahead and give Taylor Swift EVERY award. Just give her all of them and then get her out of the way so someone else can win something. I am so sick of her being nominated for things and winning over Carrie, Kellie and Miranda. Awards are awarded to singers with the most popularity now not with the most talent and granted she is a good songwriter but to compare her singing abilities to that of Carrie Underwood is ridiculous. Does anyone voting for her have ears? Listening to the flat notes she manages to whine out in “Should Have Said No” makes my ears bleed a little and to make it worse the video airs on CMT and GAC about 600 times a day.

Taylor Swift needs to stick to writing songs for other singers because she just cannot sing. Why is she classified as a great singer when she can’t carry a tune and why does CMT and GAC push her so much?

One number 1 single during eligibility period (our song) that is the worst song since Cleaning this gun.

Our Song stayed at number one longer than any of Carrie songs. I think it also was tied for second longest single by a women to be at number one.

3 number 1 singles in the eligibility period, with Just a Dream about to be her 4th.

And u cant count Just a dream i mean should’ve said no was already number one just out of the eligibility period. Picture to burn went number one on Canada country charts. She also has done better on hot 100.
